This statement kills me every time. People expect for new rides, attractions and options to come to a park and not expect ticket sales and passes to go up. How else are you going to keep up with the maintenance or enjoy not paying per ride. Fine lets drop ticket and pass prices and pay $6.50 to ride Fury325, $5 for Intimidator, etc. per ride. The waterpark would most like be a separate admission of $45+ dollars itself. Which do you want. smh

considering that six flags parks normal pass gets you into any of the six flags parks, I'd say that carowinds passes are a bit pricey.

Two different business models I think. Six Flags passes are stupidly cheap and I think it shows in the experience. I think they are basically letting you into the park for free so they can get you with expensive low quality food, fast passes, upcharge attractions, and eyeballs on the widespread sponsor advertising.

To add to this I was looking to take my family to SFOG this summer and noticed tickets are regular 63.99 a piece or since we are a family of 5 we can just get season passes for 61.99 each :? I wonder which I will choose

Save thunder road...Are we serious? Why?....if we're getting something bigger and better!? Why keep the park 20 years behind? Should we bring segregation back also!? This is only to make carowinds a destination park! Who shouldn't be happy about that!? Do what you do cedar fair and don't let anyone stop you from making carowinds one of the top amusement parks in the world! I'm logging off now because I'm flume...I mean fuming and I'm FLAT out dappointed! I'm going to SLIDE to the side and relocate my CARTS.....Putt putt anyone?

I agree the experience is awful. I mean garbage eveywhere, the rollercoaster are still sporting what's left of their intial paint jobs, Goliath, Mindbender, Georgia Scorcher and Superman all are starting to show it's abuse. Why can I see the raw steel and a few more years the coasters are going to look like straight steel. Pretty sure inimidator will get a fresh coat in the next 2-3 years. Let's not talk about how the place is a day care center, yea I know carowinds can be overwhelming with the youth at times but six flags is a whole different level. Don't get me started on the food and workers. I guess you get your money worth. I'll stick with cedar fair and I happily pay sixflags per visit I don't go too often. Just my opinion.

^I don't care about destination parks, I'm interested in rides my family enjoys at our local park. My family enjoys Thunder Road, it is one of the rides we hit on every visit to Carowinds. We have never been to the water park and are unlikely to use an expanded water park.

Yep! Lets start with the racist water slides! What would be historically funny is the #SaveThunderRoad actually works!
