General Carowinds discussion

Actually, the circles and lines drawn on the photos look a lot like ovaries and Fallopian tubes...part of the female reproductive system. I'm calling it now...next year's new attraction will be the world's tallest fastest hybrid wooden water coaster themed after the reproductive cycle, with the finale of the ride simulating the riders crashing into the water in the world's splashiest water birth.

Did you need a sarcasm font to figure that one out?

That trademark was registered by Cedar Point, specifically -not Cedar Fair like the ones for Intimidator, Fury, etc.
It's safe to say that Valravn is not for any other park except CP.

Maybe it will be the world's tallest fastest and longest launched wing coaster, like we thought Fury would be

I'm calling it: The announcement will be made on a Wednesday!

Wednesday is the day of Mercury, the Roman god of finance. Mike was foreshadowing the removal of Thunder Road for financial reasons.

Did I use the quote function properly? :)

How much of the $50 million is left? (and is the next expansion included in the $50 million?) Some of these ride ideas are tremendously expensive. After Fury, I find it hard to believe they'd add another $10+ million coaster. I could be wrong. In this case, I hope I am.

Fury is bringing in the crowds, as evidenced by the record Memorial weekend attendance. CF may be investing more into the park due to the trends they've seen so far this year.
