Well...becareful what you ask for. The park keeps a log of everything...  :shh:

Ok, if they are logging everything I want a brand new GCI with 4 trains and station load and unload station that forms a "V" and a tunnel next to it that forms an "8".
Two trains being a sheriff and two being a moonshiner.

Ha ha ha. Oh wait I have RollerCoaster Tycoon 3!

The main addition will be a rather large log flume surrounded by a new flat or two. Dodgems will be relocated where the mini golf course is. There will also be several water park updates such as a new dressing room, old slides painted, new signs, ect.

Obviously Thunder Road is coming down and I think Action Theater will join it. I'm not sure what will become of Yo-Yo but I think Southern Star will probably stay.

I suspect 2017 is when you'll see a pretty good sized water park expansion.

2018 launched coaster perhaps. That's just too far to think about though.

Opps...I actually quoted the wrong person...

As others have alluded to, I think this expansion will be a multi year project like we saw with the front of the park. I speculate that it will include some kind of water ride (if they build a log flume, please theme it - note the great Calico Mine Ride), a water park expansion, and a revitalization of County Fair.

The changing room building is the first thing that needs to go. It effectively splits the water park in two and is very out of place.

Revamping some of the water rides is also sorely needed. Bondi Pipeline leaks so much that it creates a couple of mud pits in the line to get to the ride. When I go to ride that, it makes me feel like I was teleported to Camden Park.

Question for anyone that wants a $35 million Top Thrill Dragster/Kingda Ka clone: Have you actually ridden one of them before?

I would be absolutely dismayed if Carowinds did that. Not that they would. Notice that Cedar Fair has not purchased an Intamin ride since the Shoot the Rapids fiasco and Ouimet becoming CEO.

Please.... Please..... Yes

Have you guys ever been on that?

From my experience on Top Thrill Dragster, I can confirm that strata coasters are fantastic! But, 17 seconds of ride time for over thirty million dollars? No. Just no.

Strata coasters are unique rides, but definitely not even close to the best coasters. However, I don't regret waiting 2 hours to ride TTD one time, just for the experience. Now I definitely don't think Carowinds is getting one next year, but something similar (maybe a better-designed version 5 years from now? Idk) wouldn't be an awful idea, as they grab soooo much attention. It probably would get even more attention than Fury (from the GP) so it could potentially end up earning them a lot of money.

But I still don't really want one at Carowinds.
