General Carowinds discussion

The park should add another ride between Frenzoid and Dodgems (area of water). I could see a small coaster fitting there, but another flat ride would fit best there.

I aggree, the lake is filled with algae and other gunk. It is only used as a breeding ground for mosquitoes.

Nasty!

Carowinds has loss their taste for flat rides. It is more about rollercoasters, and thrill rides now. We already have a water coaster so that spot isn't going for a water coaster. The frenzoid has bad ridership, and is a very unconfortable ride. Boomerang Bay rumors are going around because of PKI expansing their WaterWorks, and Carowinds isn't a leader, it is a follower. They follow in the footsteps of PKI, PKD, and PGA.

frenzoid is probably so uncofertable because the restraints are so tight, the only do that just in case if one restraint fails than you still have another

<off topic>on cyclone does anybody else besides me think for the restraints they should install seatbelts like on top gun? cause if the restraint lock fails,SEE YAH! but if they did the seatbelt thing you would still stay in,it's the only thing that gets me scared about that ride, but the odds of the restraint unlocking are about 1,000,000,000 to 1<off topic>

Your right, I would be a good Idea to install seatbelts on the Cyclone, except the cost probably has kept carowinds from doing it (whole new harnesses).

Actually that would probably just slow down loading and unloading evan worse than it already is for that coaster right now. Besides, evan if the restraints did fail (Which is yet to happen on any Arrow Coaster) more than likely the G forces one expierences would allow the rider to stay safely in there seat just by holding on to the handle bars, similar to how White Lightnin' worked, with only Lap Bars.

I agree seatbeats are needed. All they would need to do is install them.

Let's see...the Cyclone has ran for how many years now without seatbelts and y'all think they need them all of a sudden?

I love the logic of some people.

Exactly.

Besides, if the OTSs did fail, I doubt that a ribbon is going to hold a 350 pound person in, or a 4 foot tall child in either. See my above post^

Couldn't flat rides be considered thrill rides? A Delerium, Jump 2, Chaos...they're certainly thrilling :)

To me the only uncomfortable part of the Frenzoid is that little nudge you get from the lap restraint during the unloading and loading of the ride. I've never thought it was uncomfortable.

As far as being a follower, I don't see that as being true. Paramount hasn't really cloned rides at the parks. FOF and the Invertigos (and the jr. Vekomas) are the only major rides that I can think of that have been cloned. Each park, to me, has its own "identity." The waterpark renovation, if that is indeed in the cards, only seems to be the next logical step for the evolution of the park.

I never wear seatbelts on any roller coaster (especially on Hurler). It's like riding in your convertible going over hills.

Oh no, not you again. I don't think I'm going to waste my breath (hypothetically speaking) this time, because it will probably just go in one ear and out the other. Maybe you'll be caught sometime and tossed out of the park.

You're not Carowinds 73-03 are you?
