anyone remember CP's todo list? I dont recall what the list was about but it does say purchase aquatrax.

http://www.ohio.com/blogs/airtime/airti ... n-1.518878

1. Call RMC (Referencing the Rocky Mountain Construction company that is working with Six Flags to convert its wooden coasters into the new hybrids)
2. Purchase AquaTrax (A new ride track that creates water roller coasters)
3. Relocate Mantis (There is a theory that the park will not only switch out the coaster cars on the Mantis, but also move its entrance to the Blue Streak midway to create more traffic in that area of the park)
4. Build a dark ride (Speculation has the park putting in a werewolf-themed dark ride in the old Pirate Ride building)
5. Go over 500 feet (The new so-called Polercoasters essentially send riders straight down the side of a tall tower)
6. Coaster tunnel into Lake Erie (this is a new one)
7. Build boardwalk (there might be something to this one as the park heavily promoted its beach parties and fireworks this summer)

This is so weird, because I was JUST about to post this, and then you had already posted it a couple hours ago. I thought I was the only person in this world who realistically thought of an AquaTrax. I explained this in TPR a few hours ago, and how Cedar Fair is trying to make Carowinds the new Cedar Point of the southeast, and how an AquaTrax would be a unique addition to Carowinds just like Maverick is a unique addition to Cedar Point. When I was watching the live broadcast of Carowinds announcing Fury 325, and they said that the new addition for 2016 will be making a "big splash" I immediately thought, "It's going to be an AquaTrax." The only AquaTrax in the world, Atlantis Adventure at Lotte World in South Korea, cost 30 million in US dollars, and it was built in 2003...with the 20 million dollars Carowinds has left in their "big expansion", I think that they can build an AquaTrax in 2017 (looking at you, CoasterBruh), or 2016. Atlantis Adventure is heavily themed, and even has animatronics. Since Cedar Fair usually doesn't put much theming into their coasters, they could save a lot of money by not putting much theming into it. They could also save some money by having a lift hill instead of a launch (like Atlantis Adventure does), because who said AquaTrax's needed a launch? It also makes since to put an AquaTrax near the waterpark, because, well, it has aqua in the name.

I voted "Water Coaster" because it was the closest to "AquaTrax"...

An often joked about quick assumption in the coaster industry very well might become true this time. :)

I'm pretty sure that list was made just to mess with enthusiasts leading up to the Rougarou announcement. The whole thing about the aquatrax started as an in joke on TPR about how supposedly Maverick was going to be an aquatrax so they just called "AQUATRAX!!1!ONE!" anytime a rumor of a new ride surfaced. Not saying I would be against one though, however I wouldn't even be mad if this was an RMC conversion.

I have never understood why folks want a separate entrance to the waterpark. Is it because they are too lazy to walk through the rest of the park? It's not like a separate gate for the waterpark would make it that much closer to the parking lot . . .

Because people don't want to carry bags of waterpark items all the way through the park and then tote it all back through the park to put stuff in their car.

So if the waterpark is expanded into the lot beside Thunder Road and a gate to the waterpark is put there in the proximity of the South Gate, people won't have to tote waterpark items through the rest of the rides park but they might be walking the same distance depending on the parking situation. If guests tote it in, they still have to tote it out.

I figure it like this:
A new waterpark gate needs the lockers close by along with Modern changing rooms. This place just on the parking lot side of Thunder Road would be like the existing gates in relation to parking. This would also open up the old changing area for a new slide or expanded food and gift shop.

I had this weird dream last night where I went to Carowinds and Thunder Road was turned into an Iron Horse, similar to Twisted Colossus...then I woke up and remembered that on the "to-do list" that Cedar Point teased for Rougourou said to, "Call RMC"...hmm. I have a feeling it will be an Iron Horse.
