I may hold off on the fast pass next week, but for future reference, when you buy the pass online, do you pick up the wristband at the ticket booth at the entrance?

^ I think that on your Fast Pass it will give you instructions to go to a specific store to pick it up. On park maps there are little Fast Pass pictures in front of the stores that you can get one at.

I know that we went to the Dinosaurs Alive gift shop to get our wristbands. We had five people with us. The last FL+ ticket couldn't be printed so I had to write down the serial # and they typed it in for me. No problem at all.

I also have a question for those of you who have used a Fastpass. I am going to Cedar Point with FPs this summer, and I expect someday I will use FPs at Carowinds too. On the printed FPs, it says that I must go to a store and show photo ID to get them, but I am only thirteen so I don't really have a photo ID.... Do you guys think that they will actually check ID? For a thirteen year old?

If you have a season pass, then they should have your photo on file. Wouldn't that be the same? Not sure though.

I caught the Country music show Friday at Harmony Hall. I was pleasanty surprised to see an actual band instead of singers performing to tracks. The vocals were good, the fiddler was great. The choreography could use some work though. But overall a great addition to the entertainment lineup!

I have an interesting question.
The footers for Fury in some places are as deep as 25 feet or more. Look at the other coasters in the park (or any other park) and look how close some of the trees are to the footers. You'd think that over time the tree roots would grow into the footers under the ground and cause then to fracture and crumble. Is there a layer of metal surrounding the footers underground to prevent this? I'm just curious to know how damage is prevented.

I suspect the footings are big enough in diameter that they wouldn't be affected. There again, Afterburn had footings replaced on the Batwing.
