^Probably not. South gate is usually only open on the weekend. If you haven't been this year, parking at the main gate is much closer to the entrance so south gate has less of an advantage.

The footers for Fury in some places are as deep as 25 feet or more. Look at the other coasters in the park (or any other park) and look how close some of the trees are to the footers. You'd think that over time the tree roots would grow into the footers under the ground and cause then to fracture and crumble. Is there a layer of metal surrounding the footers underground to prevent this? I'm just curious to know how damage is prevented.

The metal isn't outside of the concrete, it is on the inside of the concrete. And the metal is that amazing material we call steel. That is what is called reinforced concrete.

Tree roots have no chance against a thick hunk of properly designed and build reinforced concrete. It has stood the test of time as the foundation of significantly more demanding applications than roller coasters. It's the foundation of the modern world.

On the printed FPs, it says that I must go to a store and show photo ID to get them, but I am only thirteen so I don't really have a photo ID.... Do you guys think that they will actually check ID? For a thirteen year old?

I have never had a fast pass so I don't know, but I'm guessing if you tell them you don't have an ID you'll be fine. If you have a school ID or something, even if it doesn't have a photo on it, it's better than nothing. I never got a driver's license, so for 2 years I had the struggle of not having an ID with my age on it. I got into rated R movies by showing them the graduation year on my high school ID  Anyway I doubt they're strict (it's not like an airport or something lol)

^ I think they only need a photo ID to verify the credit card was used by you (or someone with the same last name). I doubt they are going to deny your FP. Just mention that your mother (or whoever made the credit card purchase) dropped you off at the park. I imagine this happens weekly, if not daily. You can always call them and ask.

An off topic and random question I've been trying to find: Who is the president of Carowinds? Mike is the GM and the VP but the President is never advertised

^There isn't one, look at it like this Mike is a member of Matt Ouimet's cabinet err. Carowinds is a department of Cedar Fair. E. Pat Hall to my knowledge was the first and last President of Carowinds (Corp).

Quick! My friend forgot his wallet so he doesn't have his season pass. Is there any way he can get in without it? With the app or something??

you can use a smart phone app, that stores the bar code, but he would have had to enter the bar code sometime before.

I'd go to guest services, see if they can either make a new pass for him. I'd think they'll ask for an ID though. But since they have his picture stored on the computers, they could probably make it work for him? It's worth a try.

His mom had his wallet so she took a photo of the barcode on his season pass and he got in by showing them the photo. I'm not sure if they could scan in from his phone or type in the numbers, but it worked! Technology is amazing.
