I do take some thing with a grain of salt only because I have a great relationship with the boss man and he's told my some things that I will let August tell you all. I'M STOKED. My friends think it's sad most employees know my name and face by heart. Apparently I got to Carowinds way to much. Lol

Does anyone know whats going on with RRR? While on Fury today I took a look and its been drained. You can see the concrete bottom of the trail/route.

If mike was willing to let the 2016 cat out of the bag to you (and not famousamous  ) I'm sure he could tell you what's wrong with RRR...just saying.

Are we back on the log flume again?
#79297
I've figured it out! We're getting a launched-dueling-strata log flume in 2016! We're also getting a dueling-launched-giga-water-wooden-invert in 2017! :sarcasm:

Anyways... Weren't permits filed for a water park expansion?

Look, while Mike may hint here or there, theme park executives are masters at misdirection. Anything they say should be taken with a grain of salt. Sometimes they're just being polite, sometimes they really don't know what's going to happen in the future. Often they're giving us lip service. They have to. It's a competitive industry.

That's why I never get my information from park executives.

I wasn't told about the flags, I was in the PDF files that they were "supposed" to go back in the original spots. As I watched the entrance construction, I noticed how they followed the plans exactly, so I figured that the flag poles would be no different.

I vote we leave Josh alone about the flags....
There is a few changes from the PDF, we all saw the PDF. It was most likely something that someone thought the current arrangement was better or maybe someone measured wrong and they didn't have the room to put them where the PDF showed. At one point, they even built the wrong size planters during construction. I don't remember the two kioks on the PDFs either.

We all know treated lumber can't be used as firewood. It will give us all cancer. I'm still holding out a SLIM ray of hope that maybe they'll reconfigure it somehow as a hybrid and make it one continuous track with 2 lifts (like Colossus) and a single station. But, if not, I'm anxious to see what comes next.

I had to let it go today when I took what will most likely be my final ride on Thunder Road. I must say that besides the last hill,it was the smoothest I've ever felt it. I was sitting in the back row. Previously I sat in the next to last row and was as close to perfect I could think of it being for what it is. I remember I use to come off TR with a headache years ago and had nothing of the sort anytime I rode it this week. I just wish both sides were open so I could have ridden them both. I'm just glad I was able to get a last ride in. I wasn't as fortunate with some others (like Big Bad Wolf).

In relation to this, I rode Hurler and I just say burn that M(*&$^ F*&^% down. After the first speed turn the ride was a complete bore with no airtime whatsoever. In fact I got more airtime riding to the opposite end of the parking lot to take the pic below. I don't even want an RMC or similar conversion....just tear it down and give us a new RMC or GCI.

^I really enjoyed Intimidator. My first ride Monday was a mid-train seat and trimmed to death but was ok. My ride on Tuesday however was back row right seat and was much better and first trim barely noticeable but the next one I could feel. I would personally rank it better than Goliath (sfog). I think Apollo's Chariot still beats it for me however. That may just be nostalgia and scenery too.

Fury 325 on the other hand...WOW. My first ride was in row 5. That put it in my top 5. When I got the back row left I would say top 3. Then today I got back row far right seat...may be new #1...just need to sleep on it.

If the do rip out county fair to revamp it, maybe it will look similar to the Gemini Midway at CP with the LED lighting coloring the asphalt, string carnival lights all over the place and retro fitting the rides to remain with LED packages and if they bring in new flats they'll have the light packages as well. *speculation only*

Yep - I pretty much feel the same way about Hurler, after the first drop and turn - BORING!! Not so with Thunder Road though.....But whatever, lets keep the REALLY bad one and lose the better one. I know, I know, it's because it's in the way :|
