I can’t remember ANYTHING big being in the Paladium for years (except the Christian Rock festivals every year). This is a HUGE step up regardless of what you think of Daughtry.

Before Blockbuster Pavilion was built in 1991 (Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, PNC Music Pavilion), the Palladium had a lot of MAJOR acts every year. PNC capacity is almost 19,000 while the Paladium is around 13,000.

Maybe Cedar Fair is trying to ramp things up again. Let's hope so. Why waste such a huge venue?

I think the problem that Carowinds has is that they can't have an artist that anybody finds offensive. And large group of people manage to find pretty much everything offensive. So that pretty much rules out everything but the most bland.

I would love to see an EDM festival at Carowinds Palladium but there'd be too much Molly, Tina, and Mary Jane.

An EDM festival would be awesome! But nothing like that ever comes close to here. You have to go to bigger more diverse cities for that. EDC LV is my dream lol
