I usually go during the week, but I did visit on a Sunday a few weeks back. It is quite busy on Sunday, but not as bad as Saturday. I would imagine that a fast pass plus would be the way to go. I say that because I think it is worth riding Fury 325 as many times as possible would be ideal and for a few dollars more would be worth it compared to just the regular fast pass. I bought a fast pass plus on a Tuesday a few weeks ago, and honestly, I probably didn't need it. It did feel really nice to bypass everyone and get the evil look each time I climbed up the stairs for Fury.

In past years, I actually often chose Sundays over weekdays. In my experience, it's not very crowded. Also a lot of rides run more trains on Sundays because it is a weekend. So even if it is slightly more crowded than a weekday, a lot of lines go faster. The only Sunday I've gone this year was father's day, and it was worse than a normal Sunday (in past years) but not as bad as I expected. The longest lines will probably be for Nighthawk, Ricochet, Fury, Boo Blasters, the flyers, and maybe Intimidator. In my experience these 4 rides are the only ones that are consistently more than 5 minutes long. The longest I have ever waited for Fury was 30 minutes and Nighthawk might be like an hour (but if you go there first, maybe less). Definitely enough time without Fast Lane. I hate Fast Lane though, so maybe you should listen to someone else

I have never got Fast Lane ever at any park. Every time I thought I might need it, it would not have been worth getting anyway. However, after being at Holiday World this Sunday, I have begun to think it might be since I'm going on a Sunday. I got about 8 rides in in 11 hours. I find that rediculous. Maybe that's because I'm used to visiting parks on weekdays.

How long does it generally take them to sell out if I decide to get a Fast Lane once I get there?

We bought Fast Lane + for Carowinds on Good Friday and it was well worth it. Of course it was crowded.
I usually try to go on a weekday Monday thru Thursday.

Ive never bought a fast pass at carowinds, never needed one. The only parks I goto where I need to buy one in advance is Cedar Point and Universal Studios. Any other park, I go there and see how busy it is, purchase if necessary. I have bought one for Kings Dominion before because they can have some long lines.

If you're going on Sunday try to arrive early. I try to show up around 9:45. There will be a line of cars going to the main gate, get in the left lane and drive around them to the south gate. By the time I get parked, through security, and to a ride its 10:00 and they're just opening the rides.

I would skip Nighthawk and hit Afterburn, Thunder Road, and Intimdator to start. Most likely AB and TR will be close to walk on if you're early.

I have heard a ton of nightmare stories about Nighthawk if you don't hit it first. Is it not actually that bad. Nighthawk is a must ride for me because I much prefer the Vekoma flyers to B&M ones. I hate B&M flyers. I would also like to enter through the main gate because I want to get a lot of pictures of the area.

 You can't say something like that without a REALLY good explanation... to me, B&M wins in every way, shape, and form when it comes to flyers.

The pretzel loops are the biggest reason. I don't mind strong forces but I do if those forces shove you straight into the ground. I also don't like how the B&M ones hang you in that uncomfortable position on the brake run. I much prefer laying down at the end of the Vekoma ones.

How are the B&M fliers? Are they rough any? Do they vibrate or rattle? I guess the better way to ask is: how are they compared to the Vekoma Flying Dutchmans?

I would spend my time better standing in a one-hour line for S:UF @ SFOG than I would in a five-minute line for Nighthawk. So smooth. I'd say the B&M fliers are about as smooth as the dives.
