General Carowinds discussion

Didn't Carowinds give some numbers back when they announced their 50 million dollar plan?

They announced a 30 million dollar roller coaster, some amount of money towards new restaurants, and some amount of money toward water rides/slides.

Am I right on this? Could someone look back and find some numbers?

^^
County documents about the incentives provide more details about the amusement park’s plans. While Carowinds straddles the North Carolina-South Carolina line, the expansion is largely planned within city (and thus county) limits. The first phase of the expansion includes a $30 million roller coaster, a $2.5 million water slide, a $7 million food complex and about $4 million for upgrades to ticket booths and frontage areas.

So This whole time I was wondering "where have I seen that more than one way to make a big splash" and then it hit me!

What a coincidence! #TagLineTeaser   :shh:

The Wright brothers thing is curiously fitting. They got all of their ideas in a bicycle shop in Ohio, but they had to actually fly the plane and all in kitty-hawk (because of the nice windy beaches). Cedar fair (and Cedar Point) are bringing their own ingenuity right back here to North Carolina.

Another think I thought about in addition to the log flume is the retheming of County Fair into Carolina Port. It would give more of a shipyard vibe than a boardwalk vibe as to separate itself from the boardwalk. The rides in this section would be Afterburn, the new flume (themed to Blackbeard), a Wright Brothers themed air race, and Southern Star.
