I've been to Iowa for coasters.

Adventureland is a nice park with a ton of flat rides and some decent coasters, this eurofighter is exactly the type of ride they've needed for quite some time. I hope this leads to more signature attractions for them.

Arnold's Park is way the **** in the middle of no where, but has the classic John Miller coaster, Legend. (The "other" Legend). They also have a lot of flat rides, and the park has a nice picturesque view of the lake.

Both parks are definitely worth going to, if you don't mind driving for hours on end through cornfields.

I, too, have been there. Very surprised at how incredibly nice that park is. They had the whole Disney Main Street vibe going on with their entrance. Also, I'll just leave this here:

This is probably the oddest roller coaster footage you may ever see - On the day the RCCGB visited this park in 1999, a disgruntled employee wanted to get the sack...and did so by running the Outlaw coaster straight through the station with no brakes, sending it flying through the station, around hairpin bends, and halfway up the lifthill. Apparently the employee (Dennis) managed not only to get the sack, but also added about 5 years wear and tear to the coaster in under an hour.

I've been to Adventureland twice. We were simply driving to Minnesota and happen to see in on the way when we got lost LOL in 2011 and I was very impressed by the park and the rides especially the water park. We went back in 2013 when break beach opened or i think it was the year after. So I'll def make another trip when this new coaster opens.

Oooooh....have fun riding...I mean being tormented by Shockwave....lol (j/k....it's not that bad...not that great either...lol) Just be thankful there are no corkscrews...that double helix after the loop and airtime hill though is whoa....just hold your head back in place as best you can and you may survive the head-bang from the laterals.

I can say this is one coaster going to defunct heaven (or hell in this case) I won't miss... It would be interesting to see where it goes however. Will it survive and relocate somewhere? Or will it just be scrapped....either way I'm good.

What's sad is I live in Virginia and have NEVER been to King's Dominion.
I guess because it's a 4.5 hour drive for us. My parents have been though, but before I was born.

I'm only 3 hours away and I've never been...

Lake Compounce announcing tomorrow. They basically just acknowledged on their Facebook that it's a coaster. I'm excited about this one. My guess would be some sort of spinning family coaster but my dream is for one of the Chance mini hypers like Lightning Run.
