I haven't quite gotten there yet, lol. I did, however, stop doing a Top 10 list for that same reason. I felt like I was too busy critiquing the coaster to actually enjoy the ride! I have favorites in both steel/wooden coasters, but I don't rank one above the other. That's why filling out my Golden Ticket is so hard because I have to actually sit down and think about it.

Counting them = fun and ranking them = not so much.

Anywho - back on topic.

I think the Carolina Harbor applies to a new themed area within the water park and not the name of the water park overall. I think Boomerang Bay will change names, but not to Carolina Harbor.

 That's where I'm at. I have 2 lists: 1 - I got the credit 2 - I enjoyed it and want to ride again[/offtopic]

Hmm, that's in interesting thought - having a themed area inside the water park. That would imply that it is going to be a large expansion. Either way, the name of the water park doesn't matter so much to me, as long as it pays tribute to the Carolinas in some way.

Since they started talking about the big splash at WWU, I am not convinced that it is solely a water park expansion. I do believe that there is going to be significant work to the water park this year. However, I think the expansion on it is going to be a multi-year project.

I am convinced that the 'big splash' refers to a new ride. Especially since a park official told me at Coasting for Kids that 'you all know it's going to be a water park expansion.' That made it clear to me that the water park is just a cover for what they want to be a big announcement. At the very least it will be a hydromagnetic water coaster (slide) or a decent log flume along the lines of Timber Mountain Log Ride. I rode the refurbished one and while it is not as good as Splash Mountain or Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls, it is miles above the log flume that they removed for Intimidator.

If it comes down to the investment side of things then yeah, you are the only one. If the money it takes to keep tr alive could go into awesome other rides, unfortunetly it would be time for TR to go...oh wait...looks like that's wHat is happening. Some didn't think intimidator wasn't a suitable replacement forthe original flume.
