It will take me a week or so to edit the video.

I noticed how burned you looked last night. Ouch! You should have asked me for sunscreen! I had some you could've used. (You know, most moms typically have a "Mary Poppins bag" with all kinds of random / helpful items...) I hope you don't get sun poisoning again.

By the way. someone is on ebay selling the pieces of wood, bolts, track parts, VIP badges, posters and pins from the event you posted pictures from. .  . They've got 2 of them listed and each is 125 dollars buy it now.... strange.

Seems like they just attended to get a merchandising opportunity.

You know it would have been amazing for someone to run a 360 camera out there (Records a full sphere all around for viewing in the future)

It basically preserves a moment / area in time that you can go back and see every direction, spot and point at your leisure.

Similar to this
Image

If you're interested in seeing it. Get your android or iphone and search on the YouTube app for 360. You'll see a few videos and you can move your phone up, down, left, right, and pan the camera anywhere you want.

It's really cool and preserves those moments in time as I said.
They could have also ran one on the train while it did a lap both sides so we could relive that moment of riding in the future with Virtual reality headsets.

Unfortunately I left my HTC Windows phone at home. It has that feature built in and is pretty awesome. Just choose that filter, point the camera, and it places little blocks you line up on the screen and it snaps and stitches the pictures together.

I planned on doing that on the T.R. tour but alas I failed.

Everyone's pictures are great! Thanks!

Did anyone else get this "what if" moment Sunday when walking this path by Thunder Road? I couldn't help but imagine a "New County Fair" section with Thunder Road being the backdrop against against a long midway stretching the length of Thunder Road. A loooong row of flats. games, eats on the right, maybe even a small Eli Wheel. Then I quickly snapped out of my daze. I think CF missed a golden opportunity to re-imagine this area and expand the waterpark to the west. I will still hold my hopes up for a nice twister from gravity group, or even a GCII compact like SF St Louis. Oh wait....there's still the Hurler

I just got sad as he11 looking at these pics man. TR was one of my first coasters along with the Carolina Gold Rusher and Scooby Doo's Ghoster Coaster. I got to share the moment with my nephew who is really into coasters. Our last ride was front seat SC side at about 4:30 Pm

That last banked turn around on the hurler is something treacherous. I don't remember it being that bad as a kid lol

Yeah you really can't do too many re-rides on hurler without feeling like you got out of a boxing match. I think it's just due to age and poor track alignment. You can really feel the car jumping up and down in that particular section.

TR was running real smooth except for the very last stretch before you got to the station!
