Don't they use that building in Hurler's area as a maze? I know that there's a new path to get to it by walking behind Fury's station.

Those shreded boy parts come with the racist water coaster....

Shredded *body parts* thanks for correcting me joshua

Did anyone happen to catch Mike's live stream on periscope yesterday. There will be a new haunt for Scarowinds this year! I could not make out the building and they didn't show what was outside so I'm not sure where the location for the haunt will be.

^ I thought that the playground was one of the better mazes. I would really like to see mass acres and bloodyard get a revamp though. Mass Acres is barely even a scare zone, it just has a bunch of graves and their aren't even a lot of people scaring. Bloodyard has good theme, but its just composed of a bunch of people banging on metal boxes...

I don't really think it's terrible. They probably have to do groups because there's so many people there, and some people (couples, etc.) want to go through together instead of being singled out. I was in Silver Scream Sinema once with my brother and cousin, and we got separated to the point where I was alone going through about half of the maze, and it was definitely more scary than being in a group. But SCarowinds is way better than the "Haunted Forest" my neighborhood puts on every year.

We can expect to see me probably not there... Scarowinds is something I used to love but have started to like less and less.
However, I'm pretty sure Last Laff is definitely gonna be gone. I was behind Thunder Road yesterday and saw containers labeled "Last Laff", meaning its either gone or gonna be relocated. I feel like the theater will definitely not be used for the haunt. Also feel like Silver Scream is questionable because of Fury...we'll find out.

I think one of the main problems with Scarowinds is the lack of unique "scares" most of them are just composed of people thudding on metal or saying the same line over and over again around every turn. I don't expect them to have Universal Studios type of haunts, but they could at least make their haunts a bit more creative.

I have not been to Scarowinds in many years. The only reason is lack of a group to go with like in the past.

My wish for Scarowinds is that we could get an area for 18 and over only! That is the only way I ever see Scarowinds being able to pull out the stunts and really get into terrifying us. I am sure there is a "code" on how much to spook people with the current setup of all ages and families.

The Scharacters do need to up their game quite a bit as I laugh through all the "haunts". Maybe I get startled when they jump out at me but that is it. The music they played in the mazes was so loud I could never get into that eerie feeling. I mean how many horror movies have extremely loud music playing leading up to the frights?

I do plan on going at least once this year before I head to Florida for a few months. So, I'll see if anything has changed, but according to most here it hasn't.

My thoughts have always been that if/when the action theater is done away with, the whole County Fair section can be turned into a clown scare zone. I have a feeling that is what we'll see this year,

^ I was thinking that would be more of a construction zone and not used this year.

I'm sure trying to cater to the general public and parents with scared kids has always limited just how scary they can make it. I'm hoping that they can stick to their guns, give a warning about it being intense, and have some fun! I'm curious how many complaints HHN gets from parents complaining about their children being scared? Perhaps, in Orlando, the parents are smart enough to not bring little ones and go have fun themselves?

I would love to work a year at Scarowinds. It could really bring back some great memories of my years in the Haunt industry. :-)
