If they built anything like Disney / Universal in Charlotte I would never buy another pass to Carowinds again. (No hyperbole)
(Real theme parks) and by that I mean they actually spend money on designing "themed areas"
some examples are the Wizard world at harry potter Universal.

Or the jurassic park world @ Universal


Or the whole ariel / gastons tavern in Disney world

To me. theme parks aren't about big thrill rides 100% but also about stepping into another world.
It has to be a good mixture of two things. and Carowinds just doesn't cut it. The only theme you get in Carowinds is a rotting trash can every 10 feet that smells like vomit and dead carrion

My opinion is that Carowinds markets its self to people on a "budget" and young punk kids who need a daycare for mommy and daddy are working during the summer.
The theming is just not there..
