General Carowinds discussion

^ I really think the Great Barrier Reef Wave Pool should be taken out. It takes up a lot of space, the waves are tiny, the bottom of the wave pool is falling apart (there are some spots that they have mats to cover them up), and we already have a much better wave pool (Bondi Beach).

I do think that Great Barrier Reef will be filled in and become the spot for a new slide complex (one of the many that I hope we get) I also think we could see the addition of another wave pool like Bondi Beach. If you look at Kings Island they have two gigantic wave pools. So that would definitely be a "big" splash. If they move the sidewinder it would really open up that water park entrance to accommodate larger crowds but if they are adding a new water park entrance then I say leave the sidewinder where it is and give it a new paint job.

From the Charlotte Business Journal: http://www.bizjournals.com/charlotte/bl ... month.html

The overhaul involves a two-year construction project in which owner Cedar Fair Entertainment Co. (NYSE:FUN) is seeking to boost yearly attendance at the park to 2.5 million, up for the estimated 2014 total of 1.9 million.

Next month's announcement almost certainly involves a waterslide. A previous Carowinds application for incentives from the city of Charlotte mentioned a $2.5 million waterslide as a part of the park's expansion.

What slides fall into the $2.5 million price range? Here's one: http://www.denverpost.com/business/ci_2 ... ater-slide
