I am the kid that won the end cap from Fury. My friend and I tied with another team for 1st place. When they ship the track they attach it to the end of the tubes to keep anything from getting inside of them. In the first picture you can see it attached to the track.

Thanks, the scavenger hunt was harder than I thought. I did not expect to even come close to tying for first place but I guess I know my Carowinds alphabet better than I thought.

Regardless of whether everybody has actually felt it or not, its there. We have MANY to attribute to that fact. No, it's not a "bumpy" vibration as in hurler. It really feels like a flat-spotted wheel (even though I'm sure that's not the case) because its like a tiny bump 50 times a second I have never felt a vibration like that on Intimidator but some people say they have. I'm not going to dispute them.

In any event, I will say that I think Intimidator's ride is far smoother than fury. It really shouldn't be. Regardless... it CAN be fixed. It just depends on whether Carowinds WANTS to fix it. I hope they do because I will ride it a lot more. I can't do more than about 3 rides at a time before the vibration is too much and causes a headache. Now, if I could get front row every time....(I haven't felt the vibration there).

I'd LOVE to hear a Carowinds engineer on the subject and a comment from Mike as to what they're gonna do about it.

I got in 7 rides after work last night and I never noticed any major vibrations. I sat in Rows 1, 3, 4, 6 & 7. Perhaps my butt has more padding so I don't feel it or maybe I'm just really enjoying the ride and don't pay attention to it.

Something fun however, was on my 5th ride. I saw Mike approaching with a whole tribe of people and they proceeded to jump in the "Fast Pass" lane and board the train. I was at the front of the line and they used me as a filler to fill the train so I got to ride behind Mike. That was a fun ride with a bunch of VIPs, many of whom had never ridden before. They guy beside me was shocked when i told him it was my 85th ride and he made a comment to Mike about devoted fans.

I also confirmed that some of the employees have been able to ride Thunder Road after Sunday so they could get their final rides in. I was glad to hear that.

I have noticed a vibration on at least half of my rides on Fury 325. It doesn't surprise me, though, as I notice a vibration on most B&Ms that I have ridden, including Intimidator. None of them have been enough to ruin my ride except on Banshee a few weeks ago - it was extremely rough/bumpy for a B&M invert. It must have been a bad wheel right above me. However, my daughter on the other end of the same car said she didn't notice a thing and really enjoyed the ride.

No haha join the club.. it didn't even cross my mind that there was a meet up until I got to TR that night and then I remembered. I was the one with the Charlotte Knights t-shirt on (I think, I know it was yellow), and I was with two older people (my dad and grandpa.. not that you would know them but whatever).

Travel Channel HD is on Charter Cable 764 in my area. Not sure about Time Warner but be sure and watch HD version if you can. I plan to record on TiVo, and I think it will rerun tonight at 1am.
