General Carowinds discussion
#82390
I'm still debating on if this justifies the removal of Thunder Road. I think the general public will be happy because they finally have their separate waterpark entrance.
Now I'm just waiting on the GP to start complaining about a separate ticket just for the waterpark because there is no reason to buy one ticket for both when they can only do one that day.

EDIT: It kills me to say this but this does justify the removal of Thunder Road. Reasons:
1. This expansion is the definitely the right path for turning Carowinds into a destination park. I think the size of the waterpark and the park combined will make people want to visit the park for 2 days rather than 1.
2. Crowd control in the waterpark will be greatly improved. The waterpark is by far the most crowded place in the park on any given day. Now with more to do in the waterpark hopefully everyone won't be crowded around Bondi Beach.
3. More people visiting Carowinds and going to the waterpark which means less lines for Fury!

So the only question I still have is... What is Carolina Harbor?

Chris wrote:I think the new wave pool will be one of those fake beaches with all sand, and no asphalt. It would explain the beach volleyball courts.

In the wavepool blueprints, I think the description was concrete pavement. Kings Island has volleyball courts as well. It's a nice touch.

^^ Carolina Harbor probably won't have separate admission, just another gate. Soak City at KI doesn't charge extra.
