I thought more would be coming because of all the teasers. It is kind of disappointing that now it looks like TR could have been kept. I trust CF though and believe that they will make great additions in the future to make the removal worth it.

I think this water park expansion look pretty significant in size. I'm honestly really looking forward to the 2016 season. This new parking lot and entrance is absolutely what they were referring to when they said they were "giving the people what they want", as it has topped the list of most commonly requested park additions for a few years now.

Now we just have to wait for the announcement. Maybe they have some more surprises up their sleeve that are non-Carolina Harbor related. Like some of those retro rides in County Fair perhaps? Guess we'll find out on the 27th!

My best advice for those not completely excited with what's being added to the water park would be to just take a deep breath and think about how the water park will look in 5 years. I bet they add even more to it by then. Cedar Fair is hellbent on making Carowinds a truly exceptional park, and at the end of the day that's the one thing every fan wants their home park to be. So we should be thrilled!

EDIT:
Seeing as Bondi Beach will need a new "Carolinian" name, I say add some pirate theme and call it Blackbeard Bay.

New Slide complex? New wave pool? New water park entrance?! This sounds like a great expansion! I cannot wait to see the finished product. I can almost imagine Palm Trees placed around the park, and the sign in front of the new water park expansion!

Imo, TR makes the water park look like crap. I loved that ride, but it was time to go. This expansion; and future expansions of the water park will be much better for families, and the overall look of Carowinds.

To me, it is already is two day trip. If you do all the shows, dinos, rides and water park at a leisurely pace, you can spend two days and not feel like you had down time.

Would ya'll say it is safe to guess we will have drop slides like the new tower at KD? The slides at Carowinds eat up your back so much that it is painful! I hope the new body slides are put together well.. I'm a fan of tubes myself.
