barbie said that, not the articles. Mike just said improvements to county fair

Well, there were plenty of paint markings earlier in the summer around County Fair, including in the Dodgem area, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if there is a County Fair makeover as well, especially given the amount of hype the park has churned out. I can't imagine that the waterpark expansion alone is what they think will satisfy people when it comes to removing Thunder Road. The empty space where the station was is conspicuous; could be a good spot for a flat ride. Hopefully it's for next year and the plans just haven't been filed with York County yet or they are not being published online. If someone really wants to play detective you could probably file a FOIL request with the county and they would have to turn over any applications.

I'm hoping they give County Fair a "Midway America" theme completely renovated with a Ferris wheel and midway rides.

its not going to be cheap. a new wave pool, rain fortress, and slide complex. not to mention demo of thunder road, grading etc. I can see this easily reaching $10 million

I do believe we will see some of the classic rides in county fair, maybe we will get a ferris wheel as well. My guess is all parks will eventually get some of the "classic" rides. I do think that we will eventually get a HUSS frisbee or maybe a giant swing....

Am I the only one who remembers the Wright brothers teasers

At this point, with all the outrage over Thunder Road, it seems like a given. I think we could also see a Zamperla extended disco where Thunder Road's station is. It'd be a tight fit but I think it could work.

Don't Huss frisbees have a lot of maintenance issues? As for a Screamin' Swing in Carowinds, I would die for that! Barnstormer is probably my favorite flat ride anywhere and I cannot wait to ride it again next week!

As much as I enjoyed Surf Dog at KI, I'm afraid they'd label it as a "coaster" and thus begin another "is it really a coaster" debate. But, nonetheless, they are very fun flat rides and I'd be very happy to see one at Carowinds!
