The deadline of August 14th is fast approaching. I hope more people play this numbers game to show there is interest in doing another game!

I would participate but since I don't live there anymore and can't just pop on over I would just be making wild guesses to at least half of those questions. Good luck to those who are able to though.

Since the park is still in full operations, I will go ahead and extend this until the end of August. The more people that participate, the more incentive we will have for more games like this and possibly even bigger prizes!

If you can't make it to the park and would like to take some wild guesses, have at it. There are no penalties for wrong answers. If you are guessing, though, and won't want me to include your tally on this thread, just mention that in your submission. I will still tally it and send to you directly, I just won't post it on here. Even one correct answer gets you in the drawing!

The game has officially ended. Thank you to everybody who participated. I hope you enjoyed it! If you would like to see more games like this in the future, let me know. I have some ideas... ;)

I assigned a series of integers to each participant reflecting the correct number of answers that they gave. Then I used a random number generator to pick the winners. Ironically there were no overlaps even though the contest rules stated there was only one prize per person.

The winner of the prize pack is Intimidationnation.
The three winners of $10 worth of Beagle Bucks are:
LocalYokel
Aoriole19
Carolinaman

Please PM me your name and address and I will get these out in the mail to you.

Did any of the questions stump you? The answer key will follow in the next post.

1. How many seats are there on the swing ride in County Fair? [32]
2. How many cars are there on the train for the steel kiddie coaster in Planet Snoopy? [6]
3. How many minutes does one cycle of the family dryer run? [3]

4. How many big green hexagons are there hanging from the ceiling in the Fury 325 gift shop? [20] - one of the workers there and I counted half a dozen times each until we confirmed the right number because a couple of times we came up with 19
5. How many yellow park benches are there on the non-covered bridge walkway into Planet Snoopy across from the restaurant only open six days a week? [20]

6. What is the seating capacity of the building where Signed, Sealed, Delivered is performed? [675]

7. In what year was the horse ride in Planet Snoopy manufactured? [1923]

8. How many spokes are there on the water wheel? [8 or 16 were accepted]
9. What is the sum total number of points that the visitors score in Charlie Brown's All-Stars? [44] (From Charlie Brown's All Stars in the Planet Snoopy Ampitheater)

10. In what year was the plane restaurant in Carolina RFD 'founded'? [1928]
11. How many letters are in the name of the indoor animatronic dinosaur? [13]

12. How many calories are in a Big Big Gummy Bear? [1200]
13. What is the street number of the ride manufacturer from question #1? [4219]

14. How many lights are on Lucky Striker? [Minimum of 176] 176 was the number of lights I was looking for - the big colored bulbs, but when someone was awesome enough to also count each of the led panels for the numbers, etc., I decided to give credit for anything over 176.

Thanks again, everyone, for playing! It was fun coming up with the questions and I had a lot of conversations with park workers who thought I was crazy looking around everywhere for things to count. Some of them really got in on it and helped give me ideas. :D

Thanks, that was fun even though I looked crazy standing around and pointing and counting. I really hope we can do this some more.

Thanks Arby, and the Carowinds Connection team, for hosting this game. I enjoyed it and would love to play more similar games in the future.

I guess I was one of the "awesome" ones who counted ALL of the lights on Lucky Striker. :) I guess I didn't know how literally to take the question. I got 308 "lights" if I remember correctly. I actually watched the light-up/noise routine it does a few times to see if there were three more near the top, because I couldn't tell if what I was seeing were lights or something else. The waterwheel spokes was another tricky one, 8 or 16, hard to really say.

I like how the game ended up being spread out over a month and a half, since some of us just can't get to the park often, but there was enough time that most of us could get there.

Thanks again, looking forward to another one!

My apologies in advance for asking an obvious question, but where is the Lucky Striker? I found one striker across from Intimidator, one by Wings and one in the Arcade. All strikers I found had different names that I can't remember now, but couldn't find the "Lucky" one.

Beside that, finding the manufacturer address on the Yo-yo was quite a challenge. I had to actually ride that ride for the first time ever and didn't spot the plaque until I was in the air. Good one!
