I enjoy dive coasters more than other B&M models (hypers, stand ups, wing coasters, flyers, floorless) but this ride just doesn't have enough meat on it. I understand they had limited space but if this is the layout they went with, I'd rather them not build one. It doesn't feel "Cedar Point" enough. :?

Yet to figure out why folks think Cedar Point is that great? It is not the holy grail of Coaster Land. The layout looks like something they would plop down at the park and people would flock to it to worship it as the best t hing since Slice Bread.

I never said Cedar Point was the best park. With the addition of Lightning Rod, I'd say Dollywood is a better park. I even prefer Busch Gardens Williamsburg to Cedar Point. But when it comes to coasters, Cedar Point is held to a higher standard. Valravn honestly looks like something that should've been plopped somewhere else in the chain. It's not distinguished enough from the other large dive coasters. It will probably be in my top five at the park ahead of Dragster but behind Maverick but it just doesn't feel unique.

Am I the only one who is excited to see this at CP? The 'Coaster Wars' are over, so you really don't need to add a ride like Millenium Force, TTD, or even Maverick every few years. If the marketing for this ride is anywhere as good as Fury325's was, then people will most likely plan a vacation to CP. B&M Dive machines are rare in the U.S., and they have GREAT capacity. I think this will top Sheikra as my favorite dive. Looks great, and that last inversion looks awesome! :D

Cedar Point is a great park. It's easily the best I've been too and that includes Dollywood, both Busch Gardens, Universal, Disney, and Magic Mountain just to name a few. The operations, the setting, the rides, it's all there. It's a very clean park as well. I don't get why people over on TPR are dogging on a B&M dive before it's even announced. Both in the US are fantastic rides! It may not be the very best fit at CP but it will be an awesome ride and probably break the top 5 coasters in that park which is not easy to do.

I can say without a shadow of a doubt that this is the first time I've ever heard someone say this. In my opinion, yeah - Cedar Point is great, but in no way, shape or form is it better than any of the parks you listed (aside from Magic Mountain).

^Who said anyone had hate for the park? From what I gather is they don't think it's better than parks like Dollywood, Busch Gardens and Universal.

To be fair, Lighting Rod looks better than any of the coasters at CP other than possibly Raptor. CP is probably the best thrill park in the world, but there's probably 20 more parks in the world that could top it and some of them don't even have top ten coasters *cough* Tokyo Disneysea *cough*. :P
