Yes. RRR's entrance needs to be out of the plaza. It should be by the scrambler whether they move the scrambler or not.

I don't know about moving the entrance to Goldrusher I kinda like it the way it is. They just have to fix dispatch times on Goldrusher. It's REALLY getting ridiculous. They can't even get everyone on a train before the previous train has already completed it's run and is already back waiting in the station. They used to run 4 trains. Now, they can't even run 2. The seatbelts and huge padding on the seats are a real bummer.

As to a dark ride.. I remember back in the late 80's, a park employee telling me that they were exploring making Goldrusher a dark ride. I think that would be AWESOME. Let's re-visit that. Have a mine-shaft entrance just past the transfer track and the entire ride in the pitch dark until back at the station. (Maybe a mineshaft exit at the top of the second chain lift and another entrance at the end of the long straight up there...ride slow along the ridge of the mountain.) You could even hang a few lanterns along the way to highlight some close proximity beams. With today's technology, they could really make it look like a mountain and even put trees on it to enhance the theming.

Tarheel, you are my muse  lol

Jumping off your Blue Ridge Junction idea:
- Rename Carolina RFD Blue Ridge Junction. Have it run from Boo Blasters to Planet Snoopy and Dino's.
- Revitalize Boo Blasters like what was done recently at Canada's Wonderland.
- Eliminate Dinosaurs Alive and add Hillbilly Jalopies, making the gift shop the entrance.
- Turn the candy and gift shops of RFD into those seen in places like Chimney Rock, NC with candy and nick-nacks.
- Keep the old-timey photo place, but include a redneck option.

While I'm wishing, I want the tunnels to return to Cyclone and Goldrusher. Also orange and grey would be a great color scheme for Cyclone btw.

I would also suggest placing a Ferris Wheel where Scrambler was... you know if it can fit, after they move Scrambler to where Dogems stands now. And move Dodgems to where mini golf is. And move the mini golf to the dump. :silent: :sarcasm:

(for the record, I honestly know nothing. :shh: )

1. A better larger drop tower, maybe one like Cedar Point that shoots up and or drops down.

2. Repainting and renaming several of the coasters and areas to a Carolinas theme.

3. Lots and lots of new water slides ( yes I saw the new plans), they need more slides, and maybe a couple new water thrill rides.

4. An indoor coaster with a Smokey Mountains theme ( this would cover everyones wish for a family coaster)

5. A spectacular new and massive record breaking coaster. (launch, 4-D, flying coaster please and thanks )

6. Expanded kids area where dinosaurs alive is currently, giant ferris wheel would be cool.

7. A resort style hotel on site

8. 2 parking decks, this would free up a huge amount of already flat space for future expansion. With trams to the two entrances (Main park and water park)

I think it's odd that Carowinds still doesn't have a launched coaster.

I also think it would be really cool if we got a frisbee. Don't most parks the size of Carowinds have one of those?

Thank you! :D

I feel like a ferris wheel in that spot would kind of block the view of Fury, and I think the park wants Fury to have a dominant presence at the park. However, I think a good sized ferris wheel (150 ft+) would look REALLY good where Nighthawk's station is. They could fill up the land around Nighthawk with water and have a 'World of Colors' type show at night. They could have a small island in the middle to launch fireworks from. It would give Carowinds' skyline another impressive structure right smack in the middle of the park.

Sorry if this counts as double posting, but while the park is overhauling the plaza, I'd love for them to put in a museum like Town Hall at CP. They could upgrade the facade of premiers (and build a new gift shop) and move Amos' model along with some other artifacts into it. I'd be willing to donate some pieces of Thunder Road. I think I might draw up some concept art of what I want the plaza to look like later (that will surely be outshined by something Amos draws ).

As I personally don't think we need a taller drop tower the G.P. would love it. Especially if we can get one that can handle a much larger capacity.

I personally wish for at least a quantity of 10 flats. A good mixture of new school and old school to compliment each other. To me it doesn't matter who makes them as long as they are quality. Most of them should be in a newly designed County Fair.

I am soo sorry for ever bringing up the parking garage those many years ago. We got the coaster under the bridge so let it go, please?

Bye Bye Dino and hello massive kiddie area. My God that section is packed every time I go. What a better way to get families and generations to come to a park than to please the parents and grandparents who are looking for something exciting to do with the kids. Speaking of grandparents, it would be awesome to have a system where Non-riding grandparents didn't have to pay to enter. It might be hard to pull off but it would be an awesome gesture.

Remove the "Inner Circle" of coasters. Nighthawk, Vortex, Cobra. OK, I actually like riding all them but there is no capacity what soever on them. But, I guess with people voting with thier feet they might be around for a while. What would I put there? Hmm.....a Canada's Wonderland Mountain?

There is plenty of room for a resort by the toll booths. A tremendous amount of land over there. Go for it.

A water coaster like no other. More slide types. An awesome lazy river complete with a better theme and features.

So on and so on for now.

People voted with their feet for years against Hurler but yet it is still around....

There is a reason why I'm not posting any concept art for the Carowinds Plaza. I'm also not adding any ideas to that conversation either. However, the idea of a 'museum' of sorts sounds good to me.

Why not leave Carolina RFD alone and just update it and build a new section for the blue ridge junction. I say relocate the maintainence, greenhouse, warehouse, storage, and employee offices else where and there you go enough room for a new midway and flats maybe two food stands with covers porches and plenty of trees of course lol

You know, I've been saying that for years. Move all the offices, maintenance, etc. to the other side of the road and that does free up a bunch of real estate. I know the campground is over there but according to GIS land makers there is plenty of room to do that.

Plus, the view of that area from Cyclone is not that appealing...
I always wondered if it would be financially possible to move all of those structures. It's an idea. But not one that they're considering yet. Hopefully within the next 8 years or so, they might do it. I'd love for it to happen!
