And basically all of West Virginia. I don't even know anyone from West Virginia but just driving through it makes me sad that anything living or not occupies that state.

Cleveland and Detroit are in need of revitalization. But all of Ohio does not seem depressing like parts of Cleveland may appear to be. I prefer Columbus and Cincinnati, which are nicer to me. And they have some iconic restaurant brands not found in the Carolinas, such as Frisch's Big Boy, White Castle, Skyline Chili, and Goldstar Chili. And they have Meijer Supercenter stores which are nicer than Walmart. And Meijer always used to sell discount tickets to Cedar Point. (Trying to get back on topic).

Well I thoroughly enjoyed Intimidator tonight. The trim weren't engaging which was awesome...made me get back on 9 more times. lol

Have anyone tried the BBB yet? I think I'm going to try it today. Am I to assume that this is already included with the purchase of a regular ticket or season pass being when I click on tickets that's all that comes up as far as prices are concerned?

Trims weren't engaging? Is this just something they decide to do on a whim - just turn the trims off one day? Or was something wrong with them? If it makes the ride so much better and doesn't hurt anyone, they should just leave them off.

^ I totally agree. The first set lightly engaged but the second didn't at all.

Anybody notice anything different??

The trims are computer controlled based on speed. While it's possible that they occasionally turn them off, I kind of doubt it. They may have just put new wheels on the trains or something so it wasn't running quite as fast as usual, so the trim didn't engage. As always I could be wrong, though.

^^^ no thunder road. but I suspect that they had to leave it out since that map is used for the entire season, having thunder road on there after it closed would in a sense be false advertising.

also, why didn't they just split the queue line in 2 for dorsal fin/surfers swell. the way its set up is kinda dumb and makes everything move slower. literally having someone half way though the queue to separate people riding the 2 slides.

Those maps are newly printed. The ones from earlier in the year (including Thunder Road's last day of operation) had it shown.

I drove through the campground while I was in the area today to see how it was looking.

The new or newly renovated bathhouse is done.

They also repaved the upper (or back) camping area. Unfortunately it appears that is all they did. Still no cable TV with a Carowinds channel with all the happenings at the park. :(

It also appears they still have their permanent residents. :s Nothing makes a campground look less appealing than permanent residents.

There is also something going on in the woods between the two camping areas.

See, a petting zoo must be coming back...

Believe it or not (and I am nowhere near %100 sure with this one, so DON'T hold me to it please :) ), I'm thinking that one reason they're removing trees there is for this. It's an idea and probably not worth the money. But it's something to think about.

I'm not sure if this is the location in your photo. But this would be something to think about.

That would be great to get a back entrance from the campground. The tree removal that I saw them doing is in red.
