Stopped by Carowinds today. Some interesting things right beside the TR demolition site.

Lots of trees coming down. Yellow and Orange markings as well.

I'm thinking that is the area between the parking lot and the road? If it is I suppose that is where they are cutting out some of that barrier for the new wave pool. At least according to the plans that is what it looks like.

^^ That's actually the area across from the new slide complex. Based on the plans there will be a new road right there.

Based on the plans, I think it's safe to assume that the old parking lot (or at least some of it) will be repaved this year. I also found something while hunting around that indicates this is the case...

Pretty sure the section of parking lot they re-do will look similar to that of the north gate parking lot with trees and grass islands.

From the looks of this^^ there may not be plans to add trees this time (unless they change their mind). I was hoping that the would add trees. Over time, though, I think that the entire parking lot will see this treatment; or at least I hope so...
