Regardless of which side of Carowinds Plaza gets the Starbucks, I'm hoping that they put a wooden fence and some decent sized trees behind it. The last thing people want to see when walking through that gorgeous new entrance plaza and over the bridge is the rear end of a coffee shop... But I do love the design of the front and sides. :)

Since they have disabled webcam 2, does anyone have any idea where it will be located? I seen on the Carolina Harbor site that it will be coming soon. I'm thinking it will stay on top of the Skytower. And will cam 1 move to see the Starbucks construction?

Walking around the park enjoying the smiling faces seeing all the Halloween deco up, Gawd I'm so ready for SCAROWINDS lol. Then I hear preteens say I can't wait to come to SCAROWINDS and my skin cringes lol. Loving all the red lights in the boardwalk section and along the paths around the park I smell SCAROWINDS in the air.

Wonder what's hiding behind the plastic....my hands were itching to rip it off lol they're 3 of them still in plastic.

Yesterday my husband and I went to Kings Dominion for the first time and I might be a little bias since Carowinds is my home park but the staff at Carowinds far exceeds KD. They had some of the slowest ride ops at KD and I told my husband they needed to be schooled by the Fury team. Never again will I say anything about assigned seating because the flow works better. Almost all the train stations there were not monitored as to how many people the let in at a time and it made for very tight quarters.

Did you also experience 6 minute intervals between flights on the flyers?

^ I really don't know bc we bought fast passes and walked right on while getting angry stares from people in line. It was money well spent bc The Volcano had an hour and a half wait so they said. I hate we didn't have time to see the Cirque Imagine show while there, but we had a 4 hour and a half hour drive back home when we left the park.

^^My guess is yes, Jarvis. We went on Sunday and happened to be in that area for several minutes and I thought it was odd that they were full of riders but not moving for quite a while.

^And I completely agree! I could also be partial with being spoiled by Fury, but not only were the operators slow but they just didn't care. Whatsoever. Went to Volcano first due to the long lines at any other point in the day, and the 3 operator's in there really started to piss me off with how much they were fooling around.

Maybe some of you have encountered this when renewing season passes at Carowinds. Anyway, the online system let me renew a silver pass as a gold pass. I was able to get a fast lane plus voucher with it too. So here is the question: since the physical pass I have is silver, will it show up as a gold pass in the system and will I be able to take advantage of the gold pass benefits?

How do you guys feel about a resort location right here?:
I think the location back by Hurler would be too far away from the park and the road. This location would also be a bit farther from the park, but it would be in walking distance of the Carolina Harbor gate and the South Gate. It also has easy road access for people not visiting the park or if Charlotte hosts the Super Bowl or the Olympics and they need extra rooms. My only concern would be noise, because not only is the hotel close to the road, it's also close to Afterburn.
