Thats a good question. It's not layed out how it was last year.

Probably not. CP's roof is flat. Carowinds' roof has some nice slant action going on. Then again I could be wrong. Nothing a little cables and tie downs cant handle. It would be nice if they fog out the sign and the entrance plaza area tho. Wonder if they switched the lighting to red or orange that would be epic.

Def will love what looks to be torches that will line the plaza once you pass the entry gates.

Remember what Mike tweeted that looked like a cathedral door WELP here it is, a giant anamatronic (spell check) troll.

The playground is not gone and this is a new prop in between sling shot and the boardwalk section.

The giant troll is cool. He is a Haunted Props animatronic and typically is a "family friendly" thing. I agree that the setting could use a little weathering, but there is still time. Haunted Props makes some really nice props so maybe that is a sign they have upped the game a bit for this year. Keeping fingers crossed.

I'm really excited about Slaughterhouse.

With all the people Fury has brought in this season, I really hope the SCarowinds team chose this year to show off what they can do. I think Canada's Wonderland had that same animatronic for their haunt.

Walking around the park today I was getting pretty excited about Scarowinds. They already have a tremendous amount of props everywhere, a lot more than I ever remember for sure. I could not make sense out of all the tombstones but over by scream weaver the tombstones are of rides past.

I want the statue over by Boo Blasters!!!!!!! Can I please have it when the season is over? It is bad A@# !! That whole area seemed maxed out by some pretty massive props.

London Terror is all over the area between Intimidator and Harmony Hall making it a tight squeeze.

The "fountain" area by Vortex was blocked off but Themed and tricked out.

The vine covered walkway by Scrambler is hanging with skeletons and ghouls.

So much more than I've seen in years past. Sorry, NO pictures. I was there to enjoy with my family from Florida and just took in the sights.

Question: This is my first time going to Scarowinds, and I'm wondering how park admission works. Would I need a seperate ticket for Scarowinds than for park admission?

Also, how busy is it generally on the first Friday of October?
