That spot is far too little for a resort. I think you will need at least 10 dedicated acres for for even the smallest resort. you have to have space for guest parking, space for employee parking as well as space for the resort. Now, you and my definition of what a resort is may be different.

^ Yeah, I'm thinking hotel size but looking at the Disney resorts or even Hotel Breakers, that area is far too small. The area by the interstate actually is fairly close to the road, it's just too far from the park. They could just set up a shuttle system like they have for the campground.

My guess, if they did build a "resort", would be that they condense parking by creating a parking deck/garage. I feel they would be more likely to build a simple hotel.

My idea of a resort is typically something that would offer multiple price ranges of rooms as well as 2 or 3 dining options and shopping. There would also need to be entertainment. It's the kind of place that if you didn't feel like going into the park, you could still be entertained and not feel like you were just sitting around in a hotel.

Because Scream Weaver was moved to that location in 1993(or 1992) from the County Fair. It was given it's own plaza separate from Wayne's World, and Incorporated into Wayne's World after the fact.

Yes, I was untill 5pm. Pretty crowded but every line was moving pretty good unless you got on one of the "Inner Circle" of coasters. They just don't have the capacity to chew up the people count. That's not a slam against the coasters, its just a fact on the design and capabilities.

4 rides on Fury 325
4 rides on Intimidator
3 rides on Afterburn
1 ride on Nighthawk (Why? 'Cause my company wanted to ride it! )
2 rides on Ricochet
1 ride Carolina Cyclone
1 ride on Windseeker
1 hour lunch at Harmony Hall (Packed, packed, packed)
Edit: 1 ride on Hurler. Not a bad ride except for the final turn. :(

To me it wasn't a bad day for 6 hours on a Holiday weekend.

I was trying to figure it out also. I could see a lot of "lights" on it and seeing how it is where the Clowns are gonna roam I just thought it might be for effects.

EDIT: See Post Below. I totally forgot about Skeleton Crew. Good Call.

A wild guess but I'm thinking the storm knocked out all the power on carowinds blvd including the gas stations and eateries except for carowinds. The whole park is lit up ride lights and all.

^^^Tarheel, I just noticed your signature. I find it funny actually. You just made my day today
But in all seriousness though, when did you add that? Less than a month ago, that came close to becoming true.
I wouldn't call it irony; more a coincidence.
