I see it as having updated trains and restraint and in another location. That's probably cheating tho. Hmm.

I have not ridden a relocated coaster [at both locations] but I would certainly count it as two when I do. I realize most do not, but oh well.

I'm pretty strict when it comes to my own coaster count. I don't consider coasters like Thunder Road to be two, I believe Disk'Os, no matter how many hills the have, are flat rides and I wouldn't count a relocated coaster as a new credit. The way I see it, if you've already ridden that very coaster, then it's not a new credit.

Is it bad that if I ever get back up to CP that I probably wouldn't consider Rougarou a new credit since I was unfortunate enough to ride Mantis?

I didn't count Rougarou as a new credit, nor did I count the relocated Geauga coasters I've ridden. I do count both sides of a dual tracked coaster unless it is a möbius. And I don't count DiskOs.

I will, however, be counting twisted colossus as a new credit, as well as wicked cyclone.

Yep, it doesn't matter one bit how you count coasters. It's more a personal thing....

With that being said, I take the easy approach and let coaster-count figure it out for me. If it's listed as a new coaster, I count it. If it's not, I don't. It makes no real difference to me, anyway, whether or not the half dozen debatable ones may make my count 250 or 255. I just go out to ride and experience as many coasters as possible! I highly doubt anybody has ever looked at my list of coasters I have ridden anyway....

^Despite having never ridden an RMC or ridden a wooden coaster that has since been converted, I would count the conversions as new credits since they are new coasters with new layouts.

I think we've gone from financial credits to coaster credits. (By the way, aren't coasters like TR treated like 2 separate coasters as far as certification goes?) I digress.... what about the money... show me the money.

Technically racers are counted by the park as one ride.

Now without investements into the other parks cedar fair won't make nearly enough revenue to cover ride additions in the future at the other larger parks,if they could do it that way then why bother keeping these lower teir parks in the chain to beging with and either sell them off or GL them?

MiA does fine without major investments every year. I don't fully understand how but it defies normal amusement park logic; Canada's Wonderland was the second most visited park under Paramount despite getting crap like Zamperla Volare.

Does anybody think they will improve south gate or get rid of it all together, since they will the seperate waterpark entrance opening next year? I can see them doing a small renovation if they are going to keep it. How often does South Gate even get used? Saturdays in the summer time?

You must not understand normal amusement park logic, then.

MiA is a small park that is the right size for the amount of people surrounding the business. And they don't really have a ton of options. If people *want* to go to a park, they don't have many options, and it appears to be a nice, small, well run park that caters to the needs of the people around it that go.

It's that simple...

I didn't need an explanation from someone who has never worked at an amusement park before.
I have worked at an amusement park, a waterpark, a museum. They all operate in a way similar to each other.
