Since you're so buddy-buddy with Carowinds, what is that FAA height limit? I know Fury was supposedly originally declined until they showed the FAA that the Skytower is already there, but is there anywhere this is stated as fact?

Steve Jackson stated it during the construction tour at C3 last year.

It is only stated as fact (publicly) in a few videos. One of my construction tour videos and what he^ said. Both from the words of Steve. Now, is it possible that it could change? I would like to think yes. But that would take some serious convincing from the park (or whoever has to deal with all of that).

Ssssssoooooooooo... is CGA ever going to announce Vortex's floorless conversion? I'm pretty sure it got leaked out months ago but we haven't gotten any official names, renderings, etc from the park.

According to Screamscape, it's rumored to either be pushed back to 2017 or cancelled completely.

[EDIT] They announced their Planet Snoopy expansion on October 14th last year, so I still think it's possible the conversion will happen next season.

Well nevermind Vorgarou then. To be completely honest, that thing just looked too small for a conversion. The same applies for our Vortex...

Seems like they be done destroying wooden coasters, so hey . . . lets rip off B&M's track style . . . who ripped off Intamin. lol

Actually...Giovanola was the fabricator of that track, I'm not sure if they were the patent holder at the time or not. That was who manufactured both Intamin & B&M (and the 3 'true' Gio coasters, Goliath, Titan, Anaconda). I'm not sure, but I would imagine that perhaps the current fabricator purchased the patents, or perhaps B&M. But that is why both Intamin & B&M (and Gio) had the box track.

Vortex(KI) and Banshee(KI) were supposed both fabricated at Clermont in Ohio.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bolliger_%26_Mabillard
Bolliger & Mabillard(the people not the company) started with Intamin, I guess somehow they designed box track for Intamin and got to keep the rights to the design.
Fabrication companies typically only fabricate what customers paid them to do, unless the company also does design work.
