I REALLY want them to keep it and upgrade it. Maybe install a few more ticket booths, replace the asphalt with pavers like they did with Thrill Zone, paint a couple of the buildings, etc. Cedar Point is upgrading their Marina gate, I don't see why Carowinds can't (especially if the mystery attraction is opening in County Fair). Entering through the south gate is a bit underwhelming, even with Afterburn roaring overhead. People should be able to experience that same "come on in, we're having a great time" feeling they do at the north gate.
[EDIT] If they could repaint the South Gate to look like it did back in '98 and possibly add a fountain, it would look really nice. Maybe another Carowinds sign on the outside of the gate.
