Please, no. And I think they are still looking at the stand-ups. This must be the cheaper alternative to converting the coasters. Awful, awful idea. If I wanted to vomit, I'd go marathon Cobra.

[EDIT] HOLD UP. Maybe I was too quick to judge. Sounds like they've partnered up with Mack. I wonder what else they're considering buying from them. :D

Watch them put this in action theatre, just sit on the bench and put on a VR helmet and watch a video  That would be great if they did this on Intimidator, if it holds true that the name is going to change etc. you never know.... I just dont think I want something on my head going 75-80mph...

Would be cool. If the nascar theme goes away though, then that wouldn't work anyway. It would be cool though I could just see the VR things flying off or something crazy like that  I did a VR thing when I was at downtown disney, didn't really care for the thing on my head, it hurt.... Hopefully if this holds true or whatever it is, its comfy...

Okay, so if (and that's a BIG if), but if we're unfortunate enough to get these headsets on one of our coasters, I have a couple questions.

1. Will they be enforced or will they be optional.

2. Why? Just why?

Ugh, just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. Sorry about my complaining, I just really hope we don't see this come our way.

Just pointing out that the article says they are working with Mack Rides......
They made Ricochet and Flying Dutchman's Revenge.....
However the possibility for a brand new ride is still there.

Hey guys, so I know some of you all are getting kinda weird about "motion sickness" caused from a VR headset. However IGN (a video game based company actually did a study with these on Blue Fire (a Mack ride) here is a link: http://m.ign.com/articles/2014/08/29/oc ... aster-ride
For those of you who may not have time to read the article and watch the video, they basically concluded that since you're moving, and the visual effects are synced up with your real life displacement, it didn't cause typical "motion sickness." The nausea and other adverse symptoms from motion sickness are probably caused by seeing something that makes it appear as if you are moving, however, you are in fact stationary (or the opposite). So if they do add such a system to a ride, the sweat may be a problem, but the motion sickness probably will not.

Yea I noticed some fresh bright paint while on Windseeker today. So Aussie is the orange and white paint job what is the new bright green slide I'm not to familiar with the waterpark. I go once a year really and don't pay attention to names I just ride and go.

“We’re going to continue to invest in this digital world, and they won’t all be rides,”

That is the only thing any of you should really take from that article. And in regards to VR being "so 90's" Tell that to rides like Transformers, Spiderman, Escape from Gringotts . . . and the list goes on and on.
