He has a point, would you rather it be sitting, rotting away slowly while all you can do is watch because CF is broke? *cough* Gwazi *cough*

They're removing part of the employee parking lot, so somewhere over there...

Sorry for posting, but has a projection mapping dark ride ever been made? I was thinking Maus Au Chocolat at Phantasialand was it but probably not. Anyways, one of Triotech's products is called Illusio and it uses projection mapping technology. If this has never been done before, I think we may have found our mystery attraction. It could be a funhouse themed dark ride in Action Theater. Just thinking about it makes me all giddy! :D

[EDIT] It looks like Alice in Wonderland uses projection mapping, but if this idea comes to fruition at Carowinds, it would be the first interactive dark ride to use this technology. I mean, this makes perfect sense. Jarvis' teasing about a game attraction, Amos' comment about Carowinds waiting on the company (Triotech) to get the animation done (I guess he waterboarded Mike or something  ), the markings around action theater....

I would expect the announcement to come this Thursday. After all, it is October 1st....

Nothing in this post will be seen at carowinds next year. Well, almost nothing. In my humble opinion, at this moment, the theater is not earmarked for a dark ride. It takes more than 5 months to get one ready in an existing building. Disney is the champion of project mapping and alice is the latest. From radiator springs racer to 7dwarves to their shows at night. It is nothing new.

But yeah. If you're expecting a dark ride announcement in a few weeks  then you're gonna be dissapointed. But you won't be dissapointed in the announcement.

What was the reason they are waiting until October to make this other announcement? Usually most of these new attractions are announced by the end of August. And will this new attraction be located near the old Thunder Road area, or somewhere else?

While they could still be working on some architectural designs, I find it hard to believe that could be the entire holdup. As some early rendering could have been released. Perhaps it is a copyright or trademark issue. And I have heard speculation about a dark ride, but it will indeed be interesting to see if it turns out to be something else as mentioned above.
