Well it's going to get worse from here on out. It's October so it's going to be busy now. Try Sundays maybe.

Wasn't bad... Did everything there... Defex was probably the best maze..

^ I agree. Defex and Silver Scream Studios were good to me. Everything else was ok. I think the shuffling of 20-25 people a time took away from the true potential of the mazes. Characters couldn't reset themselves quick enough. The effort was there tho.

Last Laff needs to be the Last Laff unless they do a major overhaul. That was the weakest maze to me. It was crowded but busy enough to have a line but it was a walk in when I got to it. I think that area needs another maze back there. Another's should go by Rapids ride in the woods.

Got to catch 2 performances from the skeleton crew. They did well. Looks to me like it's the crew for the new cirque show in 2016.

Looks like is will be the last visit for the season, but it was a very fun season. Wish I lived closer, I'd love to work there, I like scaring people there, even though I don't work there.. Who else does that?

Does anyone know if the mazes will be shut down due to the weather tonight? I haven't been to scarowinds in this kind of weather before and I was wondering what they will generally do on a raining night like tonight.

We never did get to make it all the way back there.
First thing we done was looked at my model with the new case on it. Then we went 7th Ward (which I thought was pretty good. It takes a LOT to scare me). Then we went to Intimidator.
Then to Defex (which I thought was okay). London Terror was good, but after a while, it got repetitive.
Scary Tales was more weird than scary, but I still liked it. We then went to Fury which seemed to be running a lot faster than usual. We got a front row ride.
Silver Scream Studios was probably my favorite maze (out of the ones we visited). Slaughterhouse was the one I was most excited for. The line for it was about 30 minutes (if not more) on Friday. I can't decide if that or silver scream studios was my favorite. The last maze we visited was Zombie High. It wasn't all that scary to me. We left the parking lot by 12:20 (we got preferred parking).

My wife and I did all the mazes in less than three hours last night. I was hoping for more of a retheme of Silver Screen than it got, pretty much the first and last rooms changed and they added "Studio 3A" signs. Defex got atleast one minor change, the man in the que line no longer is carrying a unicorn toy around. We did Last Laff once during Boofest and once during SCarowinds, it was nice to see Carowinds use one of the SCarowinds mazes for Boofest. For next year maybe they can add another maze that they can do this with, maybe one with alittle scares to prepare the kids for SCarowinds as they grow up. Zombie High School was disappointment especially since it was so good it's first year. Slaughterhouse puts Fury/Viral to shame but for some reason the layout seemed familiar. I would say the real star is 7th Ward, it seemed nothing like the Asylum was. We skipped Cornstalkers by choice this year, cornfields don't sit well with us.

I would like to see Bloodyard expanded into a full maze next year maybe using some of the open space between the (formerly) pink slides and the new water play structure(where the old wavepool was).

I also seen they are prepping for the Skytower Christmas tree and there was a pile driver and other equipment park between Vortex and Nighthawk.

And yes I stopped by Thunder Road's Memorial. I probably hung around Thunder Road for a good ten minutes staring at the empty space and crying. All that is left is part of the posts that supported the sign and four pieces of wood that went around two of the four posts. They are still selling pieces of Thunder Road and Nanocoasters. #NeverForgetThunderRoad.

Christopher Columbus was a terrible man, he did absolutely nothing worth celebrating. Still, I envy those who have the day off tomorrow. :x
