Hello All

First time post!!

My family and I visited this past weekend. My son and I decided we would go to Scarowinds on Saturday night. That was a mistake. Took 2 hours to drive 2 miles. We could see the park but could not get there due to the traffic. Once there, not much better. Waaaay too crowded. Rode 3 rides the entire night.

Went with the rest of the family on Sunday. Much different story. Less crowded and rode everything we wanted to. Enjoyed the whole day. Park was clean and landscaping nice. Good to see they are upgrading and keeping things up. Hope it continues.

Rides are great. Lacking in customer service though. I think maybe they should limit the tickets to Scarowinds to make it less crowded. Regardless, we are season pass holders for 2016 and are looking forward to next year - especially the water park!!

I'm beginning to think Scarowinds should not be included with a season pass. Or maybe include it with a Carowinds Platinum Pass. I say they shouldn't even include it with a Platinum Pass purchased at another park. But what do I know?

See . . . The thing about scarowinds is you have to know how to do it. First, you can decide to get there after opening on a sat night. You will wait. There is no other even like it in the area so no competition. Second, you don't go to ride rides. In my opinion, you have an entire season for that. A lot of visitors to SCarowinds are not the typical daytime guest so of course they are gonna queue up for the rides, take that time to experience the houses. Now the crowds . . . I really wonder how many people who are pass holders really go to SCarowinds. Its like this. For ever passholder who comes, I'm sure they are dragging at least 3 of their friends to the park with the bring a friend rate. Don't know how the people will react with it being not included wityyour pass when every other park, except knotts (which is a different beast) has it included in their regular day admission let alone their season passes. Not sure that will bode over well. I think halloween events arose the nation are crowded because its a limited time event. I would suggest a sunday or fri night in the future . . .

Interesting concept. At Tweetsie Railroad (where I work) we offer a single ticket to Ghost Train (our Halloween event) for each season pass holder. It's really useful to both keep passholders happy and satisfied all the while regulating the amount of people in the park each night.
