I heard Carowinds has a payment plan for season passes. When I went to buy passes it asked for card info but I see no payment plan option? Am I not seeing it or doing something wrong? Also I have 5 in my family, my wife and I and,our three, kids. Should I get one gold pass and 4 regular? Or 1 silver and 4 reg? I want free park and parking, not worried about the, dining.

^The deadline for monthly payment plan option has passed. I think it was earlier this month.

All the coupon and discount websites I visit say the Season passes for monthly payments are avalable until August 4th.. But on the website they arent..

When will they be available again?

Hope it is okay to bring up a (somewhat) old thread, but I do have a question! We just purchased our 2016 gold season passes online, with the 9 monthly payments. We get one free visit this season, and we are choosing to go to Scarowinds in two weeks... My question is, when is season pass processing open? We are wanting to go on a Sunday, because we are both off work on Mondays, and figured this would cut some weekend crowd. Should I go during a week day to get it processed? How can I find the hours?! Thanks in advance!!!

The most reliable way to find out if they are processing season passes, when you will be there, would be to call Carowinds before you go.

FWIW
I did nearly the same thing, but it was last year.

We printed out the vouchers for our free admittance ( just a heads-up, we had to pay for parking because the free parking is for next year). Then we went straight to the season pass processing center, and got our passes made for the next season, and then headed into the park for Scarowinds.

Thank you so much! They said they would be open, we are going this Sunday... Hopefully we will avoid some of the crowds:) I also don't mind paying for the parking, I kind of figured, but thank you so much for verifying. Can't complain when I get a free visit:)

I just renewed my season pass but I downgraded from a Platinum pass to the Gold since I didn't visit any other CF parks this year. The instructions say to keep my current pass but since I downgraded wouldn't they have to issue me a new Gold pass, especially since it has a different number than my platinum pass?

Yes, when you visit next year you'll have to visit Guest Services to get a pass that says its a Gold pass. If you don't, the pass won't scan. Hope this helps! :D

...which is my biggest complaint about Cedar Fair season passes and has prevented us from switching back to platinum passes for a season. With they way they are all computerized, there should just be one pass for each park with gold and platinum being an add-on. When it is scanned, that should tell the park employee what benefits you have (like the season dining plan doesn't require a whole new pass). :?

Thanks Sean.

One thing I liked about the renewal process was the option to upload my own photo. Probably the first time I used my cam on my PC.

^^ I uploaded my picture through my computer, but then when I went to the park my picture was messed up and invalid...

It wasn't there in July.
