All of which Carowinds doesn't have which is why I said they better step it up, lol.

I always enjoyed Hersheypark's Christmas Candyland when I lived in PA. Made a trip every year. I don't remember what rides were open. I just remember that Hershey candy, especially Reese's always tasted better in the park. :)

Apparently Afterburn is getting new trains.

Not sure how I feel about this yet. Hopefully the new ones will be even more comfortable, although I'm definitely going to miss the sharks and birds.

EDIT: It is possible I could be misunderstanding the tweet because it just says "of the season." Is it routine to do this to their trains every year?

I don't think the track gauge would be wide enough for new Banshee style trains anyway.

[EDIT] Another thing I'd like to add is that the new restraints are NOT comfortable. Even if they don't tighten, there's very little breathing room to begin with.

Lol. I think I'm the only person on earth who prefers the new restraints.

I know what you mean, I thought I was the only one who liked the new restraints better!

I think it is funny that on their official Carowinds account they called it Afterburner. It will forever be Top Gun, but still. That made me laugh.

I wonder if this permit is for the entire plaza or just Starbucks.

Also Carowinds have to compete with the Ice Rink in Uptown as well as the big NASCAR Christmas light show complete with a Christmas Village that include a petting zoo, Bethlehem village, horse-drawn wagon rides, photos with Santa, and more and movie nights that show favorites Christmas movies like Frozen, Elf, and more on a freaking giant 16,000-square-foot high-definition TV.
