Agreed. The only downside to getting something like Tempesto would be it's lower capacity.
But I've heard it's worth the wait.

Premier makes amazing, reliable coasters. In the US at that. Can needs to work with them more.

I think that we need a roller coaster by another manufacturer. I love B&M, but we need some diversity. Premier, Mack, or Intamin preferably, but any well made coaster by a different company would be fine.

I enjoyed it. it was quite scary with the hang time in the inversion and all. I would welcome it to carowinds with open arms!

Gale Force looks more exciting but they both look like low capacity to me.

I would think being I posted a picture I took. It is far from boring. Thunder road was boring . . .

I didn't promise you sh!t . . . its all part of the speculation machine.

I see no reason to spend millions just to build a new wavepool when they had two.

Why spend millions on a new coaster when the park already has one?

Because roller coasters can be unique experiences, there is nothing unique about the new wavepool making it any different from the other two.

Every time I was at the water park this season that wave pool didn't have any waves.

The waterpark will the three wavepools was the one at Michigans Adventure. All three were great, and fairly popular. They all had different kinds of waves.

I also was talking about the wave pool that Carowinds already has, and has not gotten rid of. It will become the smaller one once the new wave pool opens. Sorry I wasn't 100% clear on that.

Even if you think the new wavepool is a complete waste, you never know what other new waterpark additions they could have up their sleeves for the coming seasons. Lets not forget that Carowinds has really been stepping up their game lately. Just the fact that a park that was nothing like Cedar Point or Kings Dominion, to add a coaster that many consider to be the best in the world, is really saying something. I also think the new wavepool is going to be a different enough of an experience to the other one.

And as for the whole La Ronde thing, you have to keep in mind that La Ronde is a Six Flags park. They are not nearly as successful as Cedar Fair.

Capacity trumps experiences. Enough people live wave pools that they need two large ones. It's. That. Simple.

I could have sworn it was bigger and had bigger waves. Kind of like bigger drops and bigger hills.

Anyway . . . Back to wishing. I would love to wished this into planet snoopy. Sure they have one similar but its tamer compared this this one. This one seems less roller skater and more intense.

After being at Dollywood this past Saturday, and eating at Backstage Restaurant, I have a new item on my wishlist that was never there before: A full service restaurant. We had outstanding service and food there. So much so, that it was easily in our top 10 best restaurant experiences ever. Who would have thought that from a theme park.

The cost for lunch was only marginally more than we would pay at a decent restaurant and about the same when I was able to use my 20% gold pass discount.

That brings up wishlist item #2: With the continually rising costs of Carowinds seasons passes (justified, IMO, just bringing up the point), I would like to see them beef up the gold pass benefits and increase the price of it. Then get rid of the 'silver pass' and just make it a regular season pass. The word 'gold' makes you think of something special, but, in fact, it is really just their regular season pass and the silver one is merely a discounted one. I know, that is what Dollywood has, but it seems like a better pass model. I paid a small fortune for our 2016 Dollywood passes but don't regret it a bit. It was nice that we were able to get one gold pass and the rest regular passes, yet they still gave us a discount for 4+ passes.

Just to bring to light the level of service that Dollywood provides, when we were upgrading our daily tickets to passes on Saturday, the lady said 'hmm, that seems too much for you to pay. Let me see if I can help you out. There you go, I'll just knock another $20 off your price for you. Is that ok?' I wasn't even complaining about the price but I appreciated the extra unexpected discount she threw in. Now I'm way more likely to spend extra money in the park because of that.

While I love all of the "coaster talk", I think after the waterpark upgrade (that will undoubtedly bring more and more families to the park) Carowinds needs more "FAMILY RIDES". If you're in early elementary school or younger, Planet Snoopy has you covered... if you're in late middle, high school or college, the big coasters have you covered. But, if you're in between... or want to ride a ride with your parents you are VERY limited. My daughter is tall for her age and she's in 7th grade and THANKFULLY rides every ride in the park but there's still very few things all 3 of us can enjoy together. To me, that's a big hole in what Carowinds has to offer. (Log Flume was a family favorite... would love to see another one of those.)

I agree. I think they need to go thru and dos Boo Blasters. It was really good when everything worked. I think a Triotech dark ride would be great at the park. I think the PvZ attraction will be cool if they keep it up.

But the park needs about 2-3 thrill flats like a pendulum, etc from Zamperla and/or mondial (which the chain seems to be investing in at parks) and 3-4 family flats like a Disko or other family flats from Zamperla.

If they add a good wooden coaster, a good launched coaster, and continue to expand the waterpark, Carowinds will be THE regional park in the south.
