That was such a warm and heartfelt post. Knowing him as briefly as I did, I am thankful he had friends like you that were there for him and with him. Love and prayers to all his family, friends, and loved ones.

I didn't know Max personally, and I barely knew him on this website, but through reading the comments of everyone who was close to him, I felt like I had known him for a long time. It is sad that he won't be around next year to ride Fury 325 and see Carowinds finally reach its full potential. It is very heartwarming to see that someone you met through a website could have such a big impact on your life. I never even met this guy and I am saddened by his passing. I can't even begin to imagine how those of you feel who were close to him. As cliché as this may sound, Max is not dead, and he will never die, because he will live on forever in your memories. Rest in peace Max. Rest in peace.

I was so sad to hear of this. I met Max for the first time in real life earlier this year and I'm glad I dropped what I was doing in order to do so. He was a great guy from the short time that I have known him personally and I feel truly saddened for those who were great friends with him. He will forever be missed and remembered.

Unfortunately I was unable to attend the service on Friday since I was out of town.
