They didn't paint it. It is just a purple tinted stain. Once the new wood is placed, they can use that same stain and it will match almost perfectly with the old wood. It's cost-effective and preserves the wood in the long-run.

Stain peels just like paint, although it tends to last longer before peeling. I tried various types and brands on my large wood deck at my previous house, and all of them eventually peeled to some extent. The only way I have found to minimize it (refer to our previous car paint discussion) is to apply a sealer twice a year, just like you have to wax your car to help keep its paint sealed. (unless you can keep the finish out of the elements)

They did some work on Woodstock Express last season, also. Wood coasters need wood replaced every season and you will note that the tweet said 'minor track work.' They are just looking for different things to put on social media in the slow off season.

Do they still serve sandwiches without pickle at Carowinds? I don't eat anything green so I don't like pickles.

Probably. But I was asked not to bother you because you complain to the mods too much and they all try to have lives and don't want to be bothered. So I can't really say.

Surely you wouldn't ban a child for pointing this out, right? :shifty:
