While I have never worked at an amusement park, I wouldn't *not* recommend it to anybody. The only thing that has kept my applying for a full-time position is that they want you to work during their operating season (go figure). I like to travel when parks are open which would prevent that.
After talking to numerous full-time employees and hearing how they don't get many chances to visit other parks (because they are working), that stifled my interest. It would certainly be a fun career with lots of opportunities.
[offtopic]I boycotted Chick-fil-A for a while because I didn't agree with their beliefs. Then I realized that they have just as much right to have and state their beliefs as I do so I stopped boycotting them. We don't eat their often, though, as they are expensive and their chicken isn't that great. They certainly do promote and usually execute great customer service, though, for which I give them
