Has anyone seen where AIR at Alton Towers is getting the VR treatment? I personally hope this fad dies quickly.

That is good news and definitely needed. In my opinion, that is the coaster that needs the most work at HW.

Yes I agree Arby. When I rode last season I that all my innards left my body by the time we got back to station. I can say it never let up tho. Voyage was a lot of fun but the back half in the woods was a little rough to me as well then again I was in the back seat.

What was the point of making a big deal about it being Total Mayhem (which was a much more laughable name by the way) if they were just going to make it The Joker? I'm assuming this was a last minute decision.

Maybe they originally wanted it to be joker themed but couldn't get rights in time of announcement?

And six flags is big on branding. From wrapping their trains to countless ads throughout the parks. They use brand recognition in every way possible. I wonder if the reason things are cheap, passes and such, because it uses a lot of branding. I bet if they can slap some license character or product on everything they have, they would!

Rights?? Really? Why would they need to wait for naming rights for The Joker if it's already being used at SFDK for the RMC and SFFT or SFOT, can't remember which one, as the giant frisbee. Pretty sure all the announcements came out at one time in one video. Isn't the name licensed across the board to be able to be used at any park in that chain? Or does each park operate interdependently?

Just because Six Flags is a licensing agreement with Warner Bros. in DC comics does not mean they can just slap a DC character name on anything they want cart Blanche. They have to get approval from anybody for anything new they license.

If that were the case proprotein, so many other rides/coasters . . . Hell even the parks would be completely wb and dc themed. The two mention know the likeness of their brand drives people to the park. Yeah, a generic name coaster can see attendance rise but a batman themed coaster will make it rise more. DC knows that?so they want their fare share.

Speaking of names changing . . . Lightning rod wasn't always.
