To further expound, adding to the lazy river isn't as easy as you think. Its like adding more levels to your home that's has a foundation for only one level. You would have to add more/strong pump house to push the currents as the current system is built for the river as it is now. Not to mention older sections that would go bad before the newer. As it was said, it would be cheaper and worthy to just build/add another lazy river than to add on.
Besides, the river isn't that small for a lazy river.

Looks like the one at carowinds is longer, and from being on both, it feels longer.
