General Carowinds discussion

Hmm, I rode lazy river this summer but don't remember. Does that concrete path(assuming it is actually a channel) from the green slide to the lazy river act as just a waterfall?

What park is the second picture from?

If you are refering to the bowl slide towards the bottom, that is the exit out of it into the lazy river. the lazy river, in the picture of Aquatica orlando, is basically a circle that splits so if you wanna go see the fish you stay to the left and if you wanna just continue, you stay to the right. here's a better picture to show it.

So, you see carowinds river isn't as small as we may think.

The problem isn't actually the length of the river....it's the capacity. It needs to be longer to accommodate the amount of people trying to use it. Carowinds is starting to make people get out and only take one lap to help with this. Guess what... it ain't helping. or at least not enough.

The lazy river at Whirlin-Waters in Charleston, SC isn't as long as the one at Carowinds but it's TREMENDOUSLY better. It's also much wider and has fewer people to accommodate. I was in there and just could have floated around forever. Almost went to sleep.

Responding to an earlier post... Carowinds DOES need an action river. You can NOT be lazy in the lazy river because of all of the kids trying to go around faster than Earnhardt at Talladega. THAT is what the action river is for. It will give you a workout too. 20 minutes in the one at aquatica at Seaworld in Orlando was better than 2 hours at the gym.

The new ones for Blackbeard's Revenge. The have 4 of the tube slides up. A blue, green, and yellow. As I drove past I noticed they all are some what see through however the yellow slide is being painted with the same color which would I guess make it dark inside the slide. Why not leave translucent to where if I'm walking I can see the water streaming down and and body sliding down.
