The one and only time we got to ride on Opening Day was in the evening. We got in line and waited for 3 hours. It was cold, they had to stop the ride several times, and we didn't get on until after 8:30 pm. It was fun though.

For season pass preview night, I waited around 1 hour and 40 minutes. I think the line got shorter as the night moved on. I got in line early in the evening around 5:30 when they had just opened the park, so of course the line was really long.

Question on those numbers. As a season pass holder that visited countless times last season, not as many visits as some but more than enough to cover the cost of my pass a few times, do I count as only one visitor or was each daily visit counted as a visitor on the yearly total?

Awesome news and it couldn't come at a better time!

I shored up my FUN holdings last week when the stock market took a plunge and now it's back up. If I was a day trader it would have been a nice little 11% return in less than 10 days. For once I was able to catch it at an annual low.

Behold! This Starbucks is in such a great spot, the building itself is aesthetically gorgeous and hopefully they re-do the rest of the plaza in the coming seasons to complete this overhaul of the park's entrance area beyond the bridge.

A nice, big round fountain with lighting/jet effects (or something special) would look great in the center, maybe one of those Luminosity stages behind it. That area has a ton of potential.

Also, Carowinds mentioned on FB that Carolina Cyclone will be getting painted this offseason. I'm not sure if that was previously know or not, but it's still something else to be excited about for 2016.

Honestly, I'd love if they went back to the original colors but that's probably a long shot given Intimidator and Vortex are already rocking the red. I'm just thankfull it'll look nicer next season.

I suppose this quells my fears of them taking Cyclone out. For the time being, anyway.

It shouldn't... Look at Thunder Road (and that redo cost more than a paint job).

Also, the Starbucks looks great, but it looks like they cut that pathway around the planter down some. Maybe it's coming out as well? I can imagine they would open the entrance plaza up for massive crowds and then narrow the pathways just inside the gate.

I also want to add that Saturator had been painted in 2006 and I think 2008 too.

Ten years ago, I didn't want Cyclone to come down....
I now want the opposite.

Carowinds isn't in desperate need of land that they have to remove a coaster. Pointless to remove it just for the sake of removing it.
