Afterburn had a lift hill evac today. Wonder what happened.

Edit: I also saw pink flags wrapped around the trees where the mini-golf was. Not sure if these are new or not, but i'm assuming that means they're going down.

Been there since opening. The coloring is solely dependent on who is doing what with them. It's like they have a legend Particular to what they are doing and there is no universal meaning for the colors. Pink could mean remove or it could mean stay.

FYI. Got on Fury front row on Friday just by asking. They even had a stanchion there that would allow about 10 people or so to line up for front row. We simply asked and the lady said go ahead. We were 5th and 6th in the front row line. She did the same for 2 people a couple back from us. No issues. The line was about 15 minutes wait at that time... about 8:00 pm.

By the way, Friday was a music festival day. I'm not sure if that was the reason but the entire park was accessible TO EVERYBODY at 9:30. Didn't matter if you had season passes or not, you could go up to Fury and it was basically a walk-on at that time (no more than 3 train wait).

Friday was awesome. Weather was beautiful and, since it was a school day, crowds were light. Great day to be at Carowinds.

Well how about that. The Fury God must've been reading this thread last week and decided to answer some prayers.

I guess I just have really bad luck. Any time I've ever asked to wait for the front I've been met with obstinate refusal, as well as the occasional healthy dose of shade. After a while you just give up.

C'est la vie.

Sorry for not posting in a while, although I do still view the forums regularly. I was wondering if the link for the front entrance web cam still exists. I have become quite bored with the Carolina Harbor web cam. I really miss watching Fury 325 on the cam. Hopefully when the water park opens, we can get a new camera view.

I love Fury front row... especially the left-front. an awesome ride. I think what makes it better for me is that because there's nothing in front of you, you almost feel like your flying and being driven on. And the front air time is great. We rode the back on Friday as well. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. The back may be slightly more intense because of the g-forces being slightly different, but if I had choice of any seat in the train, I'd pick left front.

I agree, there is not a bad seat. But if I have a choice or they will let me, I will choose the front every time. I love when you crest the top and start looking down and nothing is in front of you. But on any other coaster there I like the back.

I'm still feeling the trains shake up against the track this season. It really irritates me so I usually stay toward the front. The back isn't nearly as fun to me. Nothing can beat the power of the wind in the front. I feel like a dog sticking it's head out the window. I got on I305 in the front seat on 3/25 and I must say... I like fast paced rides.

I felt it too... a little. Not NEAR as bad as it was last season. Definitely better in the front. You would think that, with the technology of today, they'd be able to get that ride as smooth as liquid butter. That vibration is what keeps me from riding more than 2 or 3 times in a row without a break.

On a side note, Hurler seems better this year... as far as the whip/bang, knock you silly/vibrate the teeth out of your skull is concerned.

Just came back from the park. Spent about 3.5 hours there. Rode intimidator at least 8 times, drop tower 5 times, and fury 4 times. I got the seats I wanted too! Props to intimidator's crew! They were absolutely amazing tonight! Fury was good too, but they were only running two trains.
