Is there a way to go to "first unread post" on a thread on the mobile version of this site?? I can do it from my iPad but I don't see the option from my iPhone. ):

another story about coaster Virtual Reality Headsets...
http://www.bendbulletin.com/business/44 ... xperience#

 crazy...
"the cityscape of Metropolis materializes before them. If they look down, they see their bodies have been virtually re-outfitted with T-shirts that have the Batman or, at the click of a button, Wonder Woman logos on them."

It goes on to say...
"The VR technology’s greatest selling point is also its kryptonite: By immersing you in a new world, it removes the real-life visual experience of riding a coaster. On the new Ride of Steel, you’ll hear your fellow riders howling and screaming, but you can’t see them. You won’t inhale as you reach the top of a hill, in anticipation of the plummet to come — instead, it catches you by surprise. At the apex, you won’t see the rest of the park below you, a reminder of the thrills that you’ll have throughout the day. Some imagination is lost."

I'm fine with it as long it is optional... I'd always take my first (and most) rides on a coaster without the headset. But the various "movies" played on the headset would be fun to experience occasionally.

Unfortunately it sounds like the VR things are absolutely destroying the capacity of the coasters they are being used on at Six Flags parks. No matter how cool it is (and I'm skeptical) I don't see how it justifies cutting the capacity of a ride in half.

I went to SFOG Tuesday and got in line for DDD. The line was pretty short but with the VR it was still about a 45 min to an hour wait. I have done it one time and I really don't think it's worth the wait. I wish they would get rid of them.
