General Carowinds discussion

I think outwardly it looks bad, but in reality it's nothing to be worried about.

Mike wanted to be closer to family, especially since he has small children. Brad wanted to move up in the company. Most of the GM's at my company use the position to better the themselves and to get the required experience needed for higher positions. Unless you're set on being a GM for life, most use it as a stepping stone to bigger and better things.

Aren't we talking about this in the general thread?

I'm really excited to have Pat as our GM. Apparently, she was responsible for the return of the themed areas for Kings Dominion's 40th celebration and the all the landscaping and improvements done for the park in recent years.

That's good news for our park because let's face it, Carowinds isn't exactly pretty. Sure, it's clean, but there's still asphalt everywhere, a lack of foliage, and the park feels a bit generic. So if she can make the park look more like Kings Dominion, then we're in for a treat!

Funny, I've always thought the exact opposite.

No no I meant that I found Kings Dominion to be very generic while Carowinds has a good bit of character to it.

Nothing but good things can come from Jones being the park's new GM. I'm super excited to see the direction she takes things, if the great work she did with KD is any indication.

Of course landscaping.
As well as a few other things.

It will be a slow process, but she will be changing things for the better.
