What do you think it'll be, anybody have any official records that they won't lose their job over sharing?

My first topic in a couple o' months...

I'm guessing 1,900,000 something. I'm sure Borg Assimilator helped boost attendance, but all the rain in the Spring and from the Hurricanes probably hurt the numbers in the end.

We'll find out the estimate in a few days when Amusement Business puts out it's top 50 list.

1,997,988 or something like that...

I'm hoping they pass 2MM, but for some reason I don't think they're going to.

Off topic, does Scarowinds count in their final attendance totatls for the year? I never got an answer to this last year.

Wow, I though the responses to this pole would be more varied. I also wasn't expecting an exact number. I guess I'll have to go 86,000 times on saturday.

Believe me, you didn't have to. It was *quite* crowded at the park today. If tomorrow is anything like today the final park numbers will probably be around 1,980,000 or something, is that still the best year ever for the park, despite not hitting the 2 million? I don't have past attendence totals around here..

On another note I saw no evidence of the flying eagles, and the tube shoot is still there as well. But there is a fence blocking it off, as well as a bunch of trees with red ribbon or something tied to them. I also rode Yogi's Train (yes the little one hehe :D ) and the area under the Log Flume is *VERY* well landscaped, with new grass, trees, plants, and shrubberies. Surely there is a reason behind all of this..

Pics should be up before the end of the night, though I am not guaranteeing anything.

Humm.......I have a strange feeling that was yours and probably everyones else last ride on the train ;) . After analyzing some stuff, and this is soley my opinion, but the trains are kinda blocking a huge amount of unused space and what's funny is that some of that space just got a fresh new wardrobe! So in saying that I kinda think its the last season for it, or it may be relocated (that seems to be the trend lately!)

I hope they don't remove the miniature train. It's been at the park since 1973, though it was located out behind Harmony Hall until the late 70s.

Not that I would be surprised. <_<

Anyway those are the 'important' things to see all my pics from today start here through page 8.

Enjoy!

EDIT: "Sorry, the park's closed folks, the moose out front should've told ya!"

Now that I've seen it in photos, I don't think the park would have landscaped that area if the ride was going to be removed. It would be a waste of money...
